“I remember running out after catholic school racing to go here when they were on the corner of Lansing Ave. They would set out samples of smokies and would let me have some. Unfortunately I think I started that because I lived on Lansing and always went there so I knew. Other kids started following me to this wonderful family owed shop. They were so lovely and never complained and just set them out. Once in awhile I would buy one. I’m 47 now and it’s such a lovely memory for me. A highlight after school. I have since moved out the area however my husband works in it. He surprises me often with a few bags of smokies. Oh man still delicious and nothing like them. Only problem is there is never enough sharing them now with my kids. If you know about their smokies than you know. If you don’t than you’re missing out“

While I enjoy cooking there is nothing more rewarding that having food that meets your standards and even better! I will definitely be ordering again. “Our favorite wedding vendor!! My husband and I got married at Venue 81 Eleven (formerly New Orleans Party Center), which was recently taken over by Verba's. The change in caterer was sudden and unexpected, so naturally we were nervous about changing such a huge part of our wedding so relatively close to the wedding day, especially since we had already signed a contract with the previous caterer. From the start, Verba's set our minds at ease and assured we would be taken care of. They honored the prices and inclusions from our contract with the previous caterer to the best of their ability, which shows how flexible and honest they are. They truly went above and beyond to make sure our reception was everything we envisioned; from food, to reception set up and take down, to service, and making sure us and our guests were fully accommodated.
