“McDonald's in Garrettsville was a completely different experience than I've had in a long time. Cortland McDonald's is nothing by comparison. Some of the things that Garrettsville got right that Cortland hasn't in a very long time:

✅ The fries. Hot, Fresh, and for the first time in forever I got fries from McDonald's that were ACTUALLY SALTED! Crazy, I know.
✅ The burgers: Fresh, not dried out, and well-seasoned
✅ Possibly the most impressive: The drinks were not only still on the dollar drink sale, they also actually tasted like the drink requested and not with some strange kind of taste that feels like the machine wasn't cleaned properly in a long time.

I don't know what kind of dark magic Garrettsville McDonald's has enacted to make it all so good, but if Cortland could get half as much as what I experienced in Garrettsville, I might actually stop there more often than once every 3 months or so when family comes to visit“

“We stopped today at a VERY busy time because it was during the Garrettsville community sale. We were totally impressed with the speed of service, both in ordering our food and receiving our food! Plus...the tables were continually cleaned so that people were able to sit comfortably and eat. GREAT JOB! Kudos to the entire staff!“

“I am not a sub person - or I wasn't till I found Main Street Sub Shop. I've had them cater one event and have an upcoming order for subs for our family reunion. ALL of their subs are superior, but go try yourself a Happy Nita Mae, which is absolutely the best sub ever! Sam & Wendy are the friendliest people who happen to make outstanding food.“

“We were eating our food and as the car next to us was getting their food, the driver accidentally hit the window button and the tray spilled all over the server, Alexis. Her reaction was commendable as well as the people in the car. The driver was very apologetic and Alexis said it was ok and took time to see what needed remade. She went inside and I saw her communicating to her coworkers what the guests needed before going to clean herself up. Her coworkers had her back bringing the order out reassuring the remorseful man that it was okay (teamwork). Alexis reappeared with a smile and a dry shirt Once again, telling the customer it was OK. I am writing this because as somebody witnessing the maturity from the young girl and everyone was refreshing and I wanted to give credit where it’s due!

“Perfect quick stop, especially for last minute dinners. The fries are exceptionally crispy and light, great burgers, terrific chicken philly. Feels like an old-timey diner you'd see in the movies. Very friendly staff. The restaurant is perfect at what it is. I just realized I didn't get ice cream??! ...tbc.....:)“

“Once again, if you're in the greater Newton falls area, you should stop in here. It's one of the coolest bars in the neighborhood and you never know who you're going to run into. You might run into a Walleye Rickk. He's one of the coolest dudes in Newton falls. You should say hi to him and chit chat with him and it won't be boring.“
