“🌿 Hillgarten Brewery – Hilliard’s Hidden Gem 🌿7.6 out of 10! What a beautiful surprise tucked away in Hilliard! Hillgarten’s expansive outdoor space was hands down the highlight of the night. With wide-open seating, tree-covered areas, and cozy hanging lights, the vibe was equal parts romantic and relaxed. 💫 The beer selection? Exactly what you want in a neighborhood brewery—a perfect variety of drinkable, staple brews that suit all tastes. On a hot summer evening though, I would’ve loved to see a frosted glass option—the beer warmed up a little too fast for my liking. We ordered the giant pretzel, which definitely delivered on size! The beer cheese was decent, but we were hoping for a bit more creativity or a “mystery dip” option to spice it up. Also… just give us one good cup of cheese with it instead of making everyone upgrade for a second portion. Small thing, but it stood out. As the sun set, the whole place started to feel like something out of a movie. Couples celebrating engagements, friends laughing over cornhole in the corner, and a casual, easy energy. The only thing missing? Some live music, especially for a Saturday night. 🎶 We found ourselves lost in conversation… time honestly stood still. It felt both lively and private, which is a rare combo these days. If I had one other piece of feedback, it’d be for a slightly bigger food menu and maybe a kiddo cut-off time around 7 PM, just so the evening crowd can fully settle into adult mode. “This was quite good! Its basically a Mediterranean Chipotle. You can pick and choose what you want or select a menu bowl. We got a few different types of chicken and the braised beef. Beef was ok but chicken was very good. We tried several of the sauces, dips and toppings and it was all very good. Nice touch adding the calories on the selections so you can keep track.”

Our waitress that served us was great another waitress gave my children a couple dollars to play the claw machine a guy from the back gave them some necklaces and stickers and they all patiently waited until we got our payment figured out! “We had a large event of more than 40 people on Saturday 8/16/25 and couldn’t have been happier. The kitchen manager came out when we arrived and clarified everything with us, they were careful to label the gluten free products and our servers, Ashley and Chloe were so attentive. “Some of the best coffee I've had. Saw this stand at a Grove City market and decided to give the coffee a try. The representative was very nice and knowledgeable and recommended an amazing one based on my taste. I have an espresso maker and the Mex bag was incredibly good. All 3 were made to perfection and absolutely delicious! “It was a super long day in and out of airports. I flew in for a one day business trip to Columbus and was supposed to be in town by 5pm. I missed my first flight due to traffic in Houston, so I had to choose another one two hours later with a one hour layover in Chicago. I was hoping to catch the Yankees/Indians game 4 playoff game but it was over by the time I landed. I got to my hotel in Hilliard and looked for a place to have a few drinks to unwind. It was 10pm here but to me it was really only 9pm. The first three places I tried in the same viscosity: 1) Closed 2) Under construction, maybe? But definitely closed 3) Not closed but told me they weren’t accepting new customers because they were trying to close. What???? I decided to try one more place, and saw this place called Run of the Mill 0.7 miles away from my hotel on Google. I got there and saw signs of human life! I walked in and Eric greeted my right away, and was super friendly, and reminded me of that Texas kindness I was used to. A few regulars were very cool, and welcoming and we talked MLB, NCAA, and NFL. This place turned a super frustrating day into a fun night and positive first Ohio experience. Would highly recommend if you’re staying at one of the many hotels around here. Or if you’re a resident nearby and have never been here, give it a shot. Last but not least (to Eric): Go Big Red”

I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and it hit every note. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the sauce had that classic balance of sweet and tangy that you want from a great sweet and sour, and the portions were generous. Exactly what you’re looking for when you want a satisfying carry out meal without any compromises on quality.

The lady at the front was incredibly nice — warm, welcoming, and made the whole pickup experience pleasant from the moment I walked in. That kind of genuine hospitality on top of great food is what turns a one time visit into a regular spot.
