Host is very attentive and quick to seat you, never have any issues with having to wait (could be luck perhaps, but have gone around different times with no issues). Food gets served quickly, always tastes fresh and delicious. Great atmosphere and servers are always polite and attentive as well. “Ordered 4 hot dogs, no onion, a fry, and a drink. The server didn't write anything down, and all 4 hot dogs came to us with onion, so they had to be sent back. It looked like lunch rush hit hard, but we were in and out quickly to continue our day. The food was delicious.“

“Had our birthday dinner last night with 18 people and we were treated like royalty!!! Got a reservation no problem. We sat outside and it was going to begin storming so they closed the canopy around us. They turned on fun twinkly lights, swept up. Most importantly, when it began raining so hard, we couldn’t hear and it started to come through the canopy, they didn’t care at all that we took our large group inside!!!! Most of all, there are not enough words to say about our waitress, Robin. The best service we have EVER had anywhere. She treated everyone like family, no one ever waited for a thing!!! Not for food, not water, not drinks, not napkins, not anything. No one even had issues with their bills even though this large group was all separate and moved all over the place. Everyone in our group expressed how amazing she was and how not a thing went wrong or unnoticed or not taken care of. She is a wonderful person and a master of her job. Thank you Robin and the rest of the staff!!!“

“The show here was incredible. Ivy (burlesque dancer) was stunning with her performances. Alexis (cocktail waitress) was amazing at taking care of us. She was super attentive to our drink needs and our overall vibe. Our bachelorette party was more enjoyable due to her attention to our table. Highly recommend!!“

“Re. the Grandview location - Great food. But, building is just fair. It is freezing in there this time of year (late Fall/Winter). With the high ceilings, any heat never makes it to the patrons inside (please learn to use your ceiling fans to help with this). Also, having doors that open straight to the outside doesn't help. Each time they are opened, it is a blast of cold air for half the establishment.“

“1808 is our favorite restaurant. My husband and I have been coming every Friday for a year since we moved to Deleware. We always sat at the bar, and have always had the best service. We are very sad to see the restaurant go, it feels like a friend is moving away and we said our last good bye last night. “I enjoyed a lovely afternoon brunch with my father this afternoon. We agreed that our experience was so enjoyable because of our amazing server Grace. I am constantly dreaming about the deviled eggs and the chocolate cake, you don’t want to miss out! Grace was very detailed oriented and very cautious about my severe tree nut allergy which made feel at ease. I already can’t wait to go back and Grace will be my preferred server no question!“

“Food for the most part was on average. My son loved his burger, my wife's steak oddly had the taste of salmon or fish and was slightly overcooked. My son's tots seemed inconsistent with seasoning with some being salty and others on point from his plate. My Cobb salad with I normally love also seemed to have too much dressing compared to previous orders.“

Their posted hours show open till 2:30 pm, we arrived at 1:50 (plenty of time for some pancakes and coffee.) The weight staff was in full on cleanup mode and made it Very obvious they were done working for the day with the way we were greeted. I ordered decaf coffee and was told there was none left so decided to have regular and then didn't even get a full cup of that. At $4.99 a pop I need a full cup. I looked at my friend and said "they don't want to wait on us they are annoyed that they are already cleaning up and we came in" she agreed so when the server came back I politely said "we will just elsewhere we can tell you're cleaning up for the day" There was no "oh you are fine, you still have 40 minutes" or anything like that there just " are you sure?" We left and headed down the street to Delaney's Diner who would also be closing in about an hour at 3 PM but a TOTALLY different vibe. Greeted with a smile from the person at the hostess stand and 2 of the chefs even looked over and smiled and said welcome come on in! We looked at each other and said much better, we are definitely in the right place now. I've heard nothing but good things about the pancakes at the Pancake House I only wish I would have got to experience them But being treated well is more important to me than food. I understand wanting to be done work for the day believe me but it wasn't like we walked in with 3 minutes till closing. Oh well 🤷‍♀️“

“I have been to Morgan House many times during the Christmas holiday season. This was the first time I had been there without Christmas trees and Christmas decorations everywhere.
It was so nice to Walk around and look through the entire store without it being intensely crowded. It was equally as nice to have a conversation over lunch without trying to out. Talk everyone else.
Don’t get me wrong. I will be back for the Christmas holiday season.
But my biggest question is, where do you hide all the Christmas stuff the rest of the year! 😂😂😂“

“We come to this location every month for a professionals luncheon in their event space upstairs. The team takes such amazing care of us. James is extremely accommodating and always communicates back quickly. Stew always checks in after our lunches to make sure the service was good. Giovanni takes such good care of us, always patient and kind, always in a good mood. He makes it such a good experience for us. The food is always hot and fresh, and it is always good. Highly recommend for just casual dining or if you have an event. You won’t be disappointed!“

“Really enjoyed our Saturday night dinner celebration for 9 of us celebrating my grandson’s UC graduation. From the appetizers to the desserts, the food was outstanding! The short ribs special was very good and we all agreed that the bay scallops and shrimp risotto is an outstanding dish! The entire staff is very friendly and for a busy Saturday night, we enjoyed excellent service! Highly recommend this lovely restaurant in downtown. Go a little ahead of reservation…downtown parking is somewhat limited. Thanks for a terrific celebration, Whitney House!“
