“I cannot recommend Song Lan more! I cannot believe this evening was my first time stopping in. I’ve been meaning to check it out for quite some time. However, I organized a meetup for dinner at North Market before a comedy show in Bridge Park and North Market was unexpectedly closed for a private event. A friend and I went separate ways to find a place that could get 10 of us in last minute. The staff was so kind and sat us in a beautiful back room. Our waitress was so kind, the atmosphere was perfect, and the food was out of this world amazing! Cannot wait to go back!“

I eat here maybe 5-8 times a year depending on my travel schedule and Kyoto has never let me down...today was simply another great meal. Splurged with the Fillet and Scallop Combo with the egg yolk sauce for the scallops and it was all cooked perfectly.“

“3/31 we arrived at around 730/8pm and the staff was very friendly and accommodating! They allowed us to store our cake in the kitchen, they sang and had a sparkler still even tho we opted out of a party package (because of our own cake). That was very very nice and unexpected and also gave us the best and funniest memory because the team singing said hbp Chapter and chapter 16 (was for sweet 16)... After they finished they realized the table laughing and they found out her correct name and came singing again we already hadn't expected it so a 2nd time had us all res faced and laughing! My daughter ordered a mocktail the bartender forgot to make but when I asked to cancel they still brought it and said happy birthday and didn't charge, she didn't drink it as she got a different drink while waiting! She like the way it was decorated and for her pics tho!

I felt so bad for our shelf as we have a child that is not able to eat mushrooms and re made the rice for him because he had forgotten to remove before cooking anyways he was so patient and kind! The way he separated the egg yolk was neat and his trick was good!

They have bacon bits on their salads which is another win and the yumyum is good too if you like it

First time getting Mongolian chicken here- ordered medium spicey and that was great but other than that the chicken didnt have much flavor. Have ordered here before and likely will again. “I ordered a teriyaki chicken kid meal coming with an egg roll and a can of soda. The teriyaki chicken tasted amazing without too much salt and oil. The juicy cabbage improved the taste.
The room was clean. WiFi was available. Service was fast. There were also sushi rolls, daily specials, and lunch specials.“

“Went here for a company lunch outing and overall had a great experience. The food and service were both solid—our party of 8 was well taken care of, and everyone enjoyed their meals. Our chef was friendly and entertaining, doing all the classic hibachi tricks and gags. While not quite as impressive as some chefs I've seen at other Japanese steakhouses, he still made it fun. The only downside was that they were actively training staff at the table directly behind us during our lunch, which felt a bit out of place and slightly distracting. Otherwise, a good spot for group dining.“

SAKURA Japanese Steak House was an awesome experience from start to finish. The hibachi-style cooking right in front of you makes it fun and engaging without feeling over the top.

I ordered the filet mignon (medium), chicken, and lobster — and hands down, the filet was one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time. Cooked perfectly, tender, and full of flavor.

Even though the place is big and was very busy, it still felt personal and almost private at our table, which really stood out. Great atmosphere, great food, and a great overall experience.

Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to and recommending to others about this place.“
