“Had breakfast at Portside a few days ago. Total cost was around $13. I got an omelette with crumbled sausage which came with an order of toast. I also ordered a half order of biscuits and gravy. Everything was fantastic! And it was huge. We had a party of 11 guys and the service was amazing. This lady knew what she was doing! From what I could tell everyone was happy with their food. I saw people getting pancakes, omelettes, French toast, biscuits and gravy, etc. most of the bills were less than $10.“

“Why are all the gems found in the rough? This was the best gyro I’ve had in Columbus The lamb was cooked to perfection regardless of how long it might have been sitting precooked. The pita was toasted on the flattop to the point it was crispy but didn’t break when folded. Fresh veggies were very surprising as well. Will be back but only in the middle of the day.“

Staff was over the top nice and the worst part of the visit was deciding what to order because EVERYTHING looked delicious from the huevos rancheros (which I got and highly recommend) to a plate of nachos that could feed a small army to the breakfast burritos our group ordered they were all fantastic. Topped my huevos off with the best cantarita I've ever had. This is going to become a new regular place to come for sure. Such a varied menu --will take us a long time to try everything. “After taking our pet to the vet, we stopped into Birch Tavern for dinner. We sat on the patio since it was a nice day. The food was delivered fast and was delicious. The service was friendly, and the overall experience was good. My wife had the birch club sandwich, and I had the boneless chicken wings. They were comparable in size to Roosters. I enjoyed our experience there.“

“I’ve never had a bad time at Eight and Sand. The food is beyond impressive and it is reasonably priced. You will not catch me missing the $1 wings every Tuesday and the veggie wrap is incredible. Don’t sleep on the weekly food specials they are always a tasty little surprise! Friendly outgoing staff all around, an awesome patio, and a chill vibe inside. It’s my very favorite bar, there isn’t another like it!“

“We have wanted to try this place since we attended a wedding in the attached venue a while ago. Overall, nice place, but could be much better.
First, it was a Saturday night in January, and single digit temperatures out. Why wasn’t the beautiful fireplace lit? You have that tool for extra ambiance (and warmth)-use it!
Next, server was good, although she honestly stated she hasn’t tried a lot of their menu items-I like honesty best, but FEED THIS GIRL SO SHE CAN MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS. Waitressing 101.
We ended up getting the bang bang shrimp and cranberry & whipped feta for appetizers. The bang bang is nothing like Bonefish Grill’s; think more like Olive Garden’s shrimp appetizer-still very good. I was intrigued by the cranberry/whipped feta, and WOW! Everyone loved it, and we will definitely get it again (and try to replicate it at home). If you dine here, do not miss that.
On to entrees: our friends both got fish & chips, which they said were amazing. Good crunch, not too much breading, great taste, meaty pieces of fish (they had to take some home it was so big). My wife’s and mine-not so much. The chicken pot pie was mashed potatoes with a few chunks of chicken and vegetables in it, with a puff pastry crust baked on top. No.
My pork chop was good, but thin. Not worth the money. My sides were both cold.
We didn’t address a manager since we were running late for an event.
I’m rating 4 stars due to our friend’s dinner quality and the apps, but everything else needs to be more consistent. It was packed by the time we left, so it seems overall good. I think they just need to tighten up a few things, and it could be great.“
