“I had already read several great reviews about El Potrero, so when my husband and I were deciding where to go for date night, this was the perfect place that was local to us in Oxford, not overpriced, super friendly, family owned and the food was amazing. My husband was super excited they had birria street tacos, which you can't get many places around here because they slow roast the meat for several hours. You can tell the complimentary chips are made fresh and are light and airy with great flavor to go with their salsa. We also got the cheese dip, which had a nice hint of spiciness. Our other dishes with shrimp and chicken came out quickly and was hot and the rice was also light and flavorful. The whole staff, which seemed to be mostly family were very attentive and took the time to talk with us about how they came to open the restaurant and meet the needs of the community. Will definitely be back especially to try the desserts, which we were too full to try.“
