“Saturday is marketed as R&Brunch (nice play on words). A DJ is there playing R&B music. The DJ doesn’t talk or hype the audience, she just provides R&B not piped in from a prerecorded “mixtape” CD. The music creates a groove/atmosphere that I enjoy. It’s a grown folk feel. Though it would appeal to a nice range—college students and your parents would also enjoy. I was happy with my meal. It was really good! I enjoyed my dining experience. To be clear, I am one who can be NOT satisfied with ALL the little things and chock it up to an awful experience to which I would not return. I believe the cuisine is very well done. It’s not just mass-produced soul food or comfort food that no longer has the passion and love from the chef’s vision. I’ve experienced similar restaurants in other bigger cities and this is something Cincinnati just does NOT have enough of. I am excited the chef is investing in the restaurant and I cheer her and its success.“

“We were there Friday evening during Restaurant Week. In spite of they were very busy, the cuisine and service was as perfect as it always is. I had a very unique special of a 10 oz sliced filet in a rich mushroom & onion sauce. It was beyond delicious. This should be on their full time menu. As always the clam chowder is one of the best anywhere. Our waiter, Barry, was excellent, attentive and personable, in spite of his need to hustle during the busy and full crowd. We regularly frequent many wonderful steak houses in Chicago when visiting our son & daughter-in-law. Even though Chicago is known for their steak, we have Capital Grille right here that matches or exceeds any Chicago offerings.“

I was stuffed by the time our entrees arrived but I kept eating because it was the f$&king bomb. I had the New York strip and it was perfect. “Everything tasted amazing, service was quick and our server was so sweet. The only issue is the price. I got a huge California burrito for $14 however, my brother ordered the ribeye and it tasted good but was very thin and not worth the $20+ price. Do yourself a flavor and try their homemade hot and mild sauce. The hot had great smoky flavor with a slow burn heat that lingers just long enough to be enjoyable. Their salsa was amazing and not to watery.“

“It was pure luck to be in the neighborhood of J. Alexander's. I had no idea they had places outside of Kansas City, where they are known for the best French dip in the country.
Of course I ordered it and was hoping it was the same as KC. Well, it was pretty close. The main positive point is that they serve the prime rib more on the rare side. Most other places us roast beef that is over cooked.

It was fairly close to KC but not quite the quality of beef. The fries are exactly the same and are perfect.
They also have the artichoke appetizer that are awesome.
I'm glad I found this location in Ohio. Enjoy.“

The fish was nicely battered and perfectly cooked. The fish inside was moist and flaky. And, large cuts of fish too. Way beyond expectations for a fast food restaurant. ? About that value part of the value meal... The chicken tenders looked and smelled fantastic, but I chowed down on the fish and sides to the point that I was already full before I even got to the chicken!! Those chicken tenders were gigantic! It looked like they (Jocko's) took a single large chicken breast and split it in half to make the 2 tenders. I can't wait until I'm hungry again to try them too. Now that's true value for just $13.99, INCLUDING a soft drink as well. I'll be back here soon and often. Great job Jocko's. I now understand why your motto is "World famous". Only 3 stars on the atmosphere, because it needs to be updated, but the place was spotlessly clean!! Again, well done Jocko's!! ??“
