“I can't say enough great things about this restaurant. My wife and I have been to every Mexican cuisine restaurant around the MI/OH border in the Toledo vicinity. We have never had a bad meal. Always great, and as an added plus their margaritas are Best in Toledo. The staff is fantastic, and the food comes out hot and quick. We stopped in once again last night. It doesn't get better than this!“

“My family visited from out of town late on a Saturday night and received excellent service and phenomenal food. I believe our server’s name was Laura and she was sweet and attentive and took the time to chat with my daughter. My husband tried the new dish, the New York Burrito, and I had the Mexican Sampler. Both of us would gladly say it was the best Mexican-style food we’ve ever had. Our daughter just had chicken nuggets and fries, but she was pretty happy, too. We intend to make it a regular stop on our annual birding trips.“

“This is our go-to for affordable and tasty Mexican food. The California burrito, birria tacos, and ceviche are a favorite! The service can be hit or miss. The last time we were in there, the waitress forgot about us, and we had to waive her down for a bill. The guys from the kitchen that bring the food are always very nice and friendly though. Overall, worth going to, so we will be back.“

If you want really great Mexican food in the Toledo area, I cannot recommend this place enough. Try street taco Thursdays ($2 street tacos) if you're skeptical, because at $2 a taco you can't lose. I think once you've experienced El Tajín's food you will become a believer.“

You have to come get them as soon as they post... cuz they go Quick! (And I see Why! 😍) Melanie was my waitress. She's very attentive, helpful & sweet. 🤗 Chips & Salsa 🥰🤌 I ordered the lunch special for $10 and of course the mango juice. You get 2 enchiladas, with beans & rice. He brought me an extra enchilada to try with the chunky beef (his Moms recipe). All of it was So delicious! If you Love authentic Mexican food like I do, you need to come here!!“

“Hard to go wrong with Te'kelas in Sylvania. Our server Jackie was very attentive and quick. My Fajita Bowl with chicken was tasty and well balanced with chicken, rice, and fajita veggies. My wife had the wet burrito with chicken which she enjoyed. Their tortilla chips are really good in my opinion as well. 🙂 A great place to stop at for lunch or dinner, no surprises!“

“We were seated quickly—no wait on Friday night. We ordered Tekela Wings—superb, steak nachos—great flavor but skimpy on the meat and the shrimp guacamole which was DELICIOUS!! It had pineapple and mango and I couldn’t stop eating it!

Atmosphere was beautiful. Lighting great. Murals were beautiful. Music was at perfect level.

“Stopped here before a NYE party to pick up corn tortillas. I have celiac disease so needed to be sure what I was getting was gluten free. The woman behind the counter was really helpful. The corn tortillas and corn chips were excellent. I didn't have any reaction so oth were definitely gluten free. I also picked up some pico de gallo and salsa verde. Those were delicious as well! Highly recommend.“
