“It had been many years since we had been to the Root Beer Stand so it was high time to come back. It had grown a fair amount since our last visit which was great to see. The place was really busy but they really are streamlined well and there was not a long wait time. There is a bit of indoor seating but a vast majority of the seating is at picnic tables outside around the area. Everything looked great all around the grounds although you must remember you are outside and there are a fair amount of bees around so beware of that. I had a footlong chili dog and fries which were excellent especially the chili dog. Also had to have a root beer float which was legendary as usual as their locally sourced root beer really is delicious. This is definitely an awesome place to go on a summer day for sure and it gets my highest recommendation.“

One of my friends joked around with the waitress and she ended up being one of the nicest and funniest people I've seen at a Skyline. I'm sorry I don't remember her name, but I had a great time. “We were in town for a soccer camp at TQL stadium the place is super neat located on the corner in an older buidling. Rated food 4 I got the 5 way, three coney dogs and a fry those were very fresh and crispy. I have heard a lot about this place I was not a huge fan but it was not bad. Service was a 2 for me because being the first impression the gentleman was kind of snappy as we walked in he said dine in or to go quickly demanding us step aside. He was not very pleasant to deal with. Maybe as a restaurant owner I expected the face of this establishment to be more personable. Over all I would try a coney dog in the future just at another location.“

“Very flavorful skyline, not many places are not able for that. Waitstaff was very kind and apologized profusely when the sweet tea wasn't sweet because they were out and she hadn't realized. It wasn't the end of the world I just picked a different drink. All drinks taste good with skyline. Only peeve was navigating the way to there. You have to go towards the Home Depot or Hooters at the forst, turn like you're going past Home Depot at the second light, then make another turn down a no outlet type of road with no street lights to see anything. Otherwise once you're in the parking lot, you're fine“

“My husband went through the drive thru pretty close to the time they close and placed an order when he got home we realized 2 of the coneys we ordered were not in the bag so I called to let them know and the manager I believe answered and asked if I wanted to come back that night or be mailed coupons I decided to go back since the order was for my hungry children lol but anyway he was the sweetest I had ever dealt with in fast food I felt bad because they close at 10 and I knew I would get there after that time but he told me to come anyway and that he would be more than happy to stay a little later for me when I got there around 10:15 not only did I get the 2 we paid for but he gave me 2 extra plus a piece of blueberry cheeses which was very good by the way and also a $10 gift certificate he was absolutely wonderful wish I would’ve gotten his name but anyway he was there (6/23/26) closing time so if whomever is over him sees this just know he’s the best!!“

“This place is an absolute gem. I stopped in for a meal and was blown away by the generous portions and the friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

Everything I had was fresh and hit the spot perfectly. I especially loved the salad topped with those crunchy crackers, which added a great texture to every bite. It is exactly the kind of satisfying comfort food I look for. I will definitely be back soon.“

“Had a fairly large order for myself and my family. (What I deem as a large order anyways). I was the third car in drive-thru and waited less than a few seconds to be acknowledged. To pay and receive my order was maybe 7 minutes, if that. And they were a little busy inside as well. Also, for reference, I showed up 30 mins before closing time.“

“Staff is pretty friendly for the most part. Environment was clean and there was plenty of seating. Restrooms were clean. Items were stocked. Orders are freshly made so there is a bit of a wait time but it's definitely worth it. It's a bit hot inside as the kitchen area is open and doesnt have great ventilation“

“We’ve been to more than 30 different Skyline locations (so far), and this is one of the best. Lalayna offered suggestions as we ordered, juicy coneys in a bowl for example, and made sure we got everything just the way we would like it most. And we sure did like it! She stopped by several times, ensuring everything was good, our drinks were filled and we were happy. The manager also was visible in the dining room, visiting all of the tables. It was our first visit here, so we came in as strangers, but by the time we left, we felt like regulars.“

“This place is donating $25,000.00 to the family of an employee, a young mother of two, who was murdered while working there recently. Coca Cola is matching the donation. The restaurant is additionally donating 20% of this week's total revenues. We went there not only for food, but to contribute in a small way to the cause. The place was packed! The drive through line was massive. We were seated fairly quickly, and the staff was doing an excellent job of coping with the incredible number of patrons present. It's been non stop since the beginning of the week and surely will be until the end of the donation week. It was a great experience and a restorer of faith in humanity of people coming together, as horribly tragic as the cause is!“

Parking: If you go through the drive thru, it doesn't really connect to the parking lot. So, if you get your food at the drive thru and want to eat in your car like a heathen (how we do it), you have to go back on the road, make an immediate right back into the lot.Enjoy.“

The chili has a unique sweet and savory flavor that’s different from traditional chili, but it works perfectly over spaghetti or hot dogs. The cheese is always piled high, the portions are filling, and the food comes out fast. Their 3-Way and Cheese Coneys are easily the best things on the menu. The restaurant itself feels casual and comforting, especially if you want something quick and satisfying. Definitely a Cincinnati classic worth trying at least once“

They have amazingly awesome chili dishes and the customer service is very efficient excellent and professional.

You can never go wrong with choosing skyline. Within the past two years the menu options have changed and there's a good variety to choose from.

Josh (I believe the manager) greets every person with a friendly welcome.
Cullen was a great server. He listened closely to all the needs and wants at my table. He is great at his job!“

“Super surprised very flavorful chilidogs!! Loved the whole idea the dogs are smaller than a normal gog but they were cooked perfect and the chili was excellent loade with gobs of cheese. Next time I'm in Cinci I going back. Oh yeah the jalapeño cheese was perfect...Just a little extra kick in between mild and medium hot...perfect!!“
