Best I've had in Toledo. The corned beef and pastrami on the sandwich was generous and delicious. The pickled green tomato was a crunchy surprise. Free parking right next door was a bonus. Will definitely be headed back soon to try their Reuben.”

I'm there too early in the morning to see any of the trouble that supposedly comes with going to a waffle House late at night but I don't know if that really happens at this location but here we are”

Parking: Plenty of parking ALL around the building pretty much!!!

Kid-friendliness: We ALL should already know that kids love McDonald's and their Happy Meal's with a toy!!!! Right??? How could you go wrong???

Wheelchair accessibility: They have handicap parking spots & bathroom stalls and little ramps at the doors and I'm pretty sure that if they have all of those options for anyone who may need them accessible to them then they should also have seating for dine-in for anyone with a wheelchair as well, right?? I would seriously hope so anyways if not then someone needs to call the corporate office and talk with whomever you have to, too get this terrible mistake fixed and hopefully they would make this a higher priority and see to it that it WAS actually taken care of immediately!!!!!! I'm just saying......”

Pizzas are thin crust, which we enjoy and large for one to individually enjoy. Toppings are plentiful and brought to you straight from the oven to your table.

Cozy atmosphere, Christmas lights, and multiple little country flags on the walls; while waiting for our food we trivia'ed ourselves on how many we knew.

It's a great local place for a dine in for a pizza, and we continue to come back.”

The service was incredibly fast and here's the kicker the whole time. Even though it was breakfast on a Saturday morning and Kayla was the only server in the building at the time. You would never have guessed that she was on top of it! I don't think we've ever had a a bad experience at a first watch, so not only do I recommend this first watch. Specifically, I recommend anytime you're out of town and if you find a first watch you know you could be safe going there for breakfast, brunch or lunch.”

The wait staff was attentive and followed up with the guests to make sure that they had what they wanted. The staff took our worries away as we did not know how many people would come and we were told that they would cook more if we needed it. They packed up leftovers and gave us everything that was left over. We wanted special music and they allowed one of our guests to bring in a speaker and hook it up. We were also allowed to stay beyond the scheduled hours and we appreciated that also.”

“Cafe Donuts single handedly saved the day for our child’s donut theme breakfast birthday. We discovered that Krispy Kreme was just… closed despite placing a pick up order earlier in the week for this. This was at 9 AM and we had no treats for a party! We called cafe donuts in a panic- we had 60 people to feed! By 10:00 AM, we had 200 freshly made donut holes and four dozen raised glazes with sprinkles to match our theme still a bit warm from the fryer on our party table- even including a special donut with multicolored sprinkles in a box labeled “happy birthday!” The person picking up said every employee was working impressively quickly to get this order out the door in under 30 minutes from phone call to car! My frantic husband even noted that the manager was calm and collected when he was definitely not, suggesting the right number of donuts and types! I cannot express how extraordinary their customer service is. We already loved their donuts anyway, but I have to say I don’t know that we’ll ever go to another bakery in Toledo besides Cafe after this day saving experience!”

“Super great bar staff on Tuesday nights. He always remembers our order and always gets it right. Pizza's and salads are wonderful and would highly recommend both. On Tuesday night, 8/19 I was a little disappointed as they changed from paper plates and plastic silverware to China Plates and Real Silverware. I had a real knife that was serrated for a right-handed person and I am left-handed, lol. Please go back to paper and plastic as it feels more like home. Thanks”

Our waitress Jax was super great and very friendly. I had spaghetti and meat sauce which was good, sauce needed more meat I thought. I got sauteed shrimp on it as well and those were tasty. My wife got the Five Cheese Ziti al forno and that looked and tasted good. We both got the sausage potato soup which was a pleasant surprise. Breadsticks were ok, marinara we got with them was nothing special. My wife got an Italian margarita and that was nicely made. If you have a hankering for Italian and want good value, Olive Garden is your place!”

July 2025 update: Updated Review

I wrote a bad review here 13 years ago because we waited 3 hours for our food back then. But I’ve been back twice now with my husband, and both times were great experiences. We got our food quickly, and everything was delicious. I had the fajitas this time, and they were really good.

Our kids ordered macaroni and cheese (which I don’t recommend doing at any restaurant – it always comes out like the boxed kind or too hard 😅), but the staff was really nice about it and let our son pick something else.

The waiter and staff were super friendly and on point, just like the last time we came last month. Definitely a big improvement from years ago. We’ll keep coming back!”

He also gave me an extra wing and cooked them to perfection just how I wanted them...nice and crispy and made fresh. Food was great and his service and vibe was awesome. Hard to find now a days.”

“Stopped in as a first time customer when I found out they have meal deals daily. I opted for the 8pc boneless and flavored fries for $10. I chose the mango habanero and buffalo lemon pepper for my wings and lemon pepper dusted fries. Everything had the PERFECT amount of flavor to it and the flavors were fresh and distinct. I was greeted when I walked in and thanked as I left, the entire staff was amazing!”

“We visited on a Monday in mid-April 2025 for lunch.

This was a typical zoo restaurant. It's a grab and go. There are prepared foods on the side, both hot and cold. There are customizable stuff behind the counter and made to order. Expect it to be overpriced.

The loaded mac and cheese wasn't bad. The young lady behind the counter was making it for us when an older man (who I assume to be a manager) walked by and told her she was putting TOO much toppings in the mac and cheese so she stopped mid scoop with the bacon.

We got chicken tenders and fries which were both fine. We also got the prepared cobb salad. The lettuce on top looked fine but once we opened it and dug deeper, the lettuce were the harder and thicker stalks and more discolored. We still ate it because we were hungry but it did not look super fresh or maybe the salad sat too long in the back before packing it.

We also got the chocolate pudding and the jello. We all agreed the gummy worms in the chocolate pudding had a weird taste and off putting. The texture was also strange and unfortunately a lot of the flavor had leached into the pudding. The jello however was fine and those gummies were normal.

Condiments you grab on your own, self serve.

Cashier was nice and asked if we had membership, which we did and gave us the additional discount. It's nice when they ask because I forget sometimes with all the craziness going on.

The restaurant it self wasn't packed but there were 4 or 5 other groups in there with us. The place also was very clean and new looking. Not sure when this placed opened or renovated but it was very clean and modern. There are no tables to eat inside so we went outside to find a seat. There were no tables in the Kid's play place or neighborhood area so we walked around to where the hippo statues were to eat.

Even though the zoo website says no outside food, we were never searched and I swear almost EVERYONE we saw at the picnic tables had brought food in. Maybe it was locals who knew vs tourist. You can always leave and eat food in your car but it's just so inconvenient.”
