“We eat at Del Taco on E Main St every week. It is by far the cleanest fast food restaurant in Columbus. Extremely nice and friendly employees. The food is fresh and delicious. The prices are unbelievable low. Try it once and you will be back…….don’t forget the cinnamon sugar hot donut bites!“

Yesterday upon pulling into the drive thru, the smart-mouthed young lady that took my order said, "I just saw you come into the drive-thru the wrong way. But I can take your order whenever you're ready". My daughter and I were so shocked that I had to say, "What did you just say?". She replied, "I said you just came into the drive-thru the wrong way; it's one-way. Anyway, I can take your order now". I did not say what I really wanted to say and just went ahead and placed my order. (I've learned not to upset people that work at restaurants as someone I know shared what they do to people's food when you get on their bad sides). After I got my order and was on my way out of the parking lot, I saw another customer enter the drive-thru the same way I did. I was curious to see if they said the same thing to the next customer. They did not. The customer after me was a white male. I am a black female. Was that the reason they felt comfortable enough to say it to me? You decide.

***Note to Management: Please train your employees to strive for the highest level of customer service possible for EVERY customer. Their smart-mouthed comments are not necessary and customers leave the restaurant with nonpositive feelings.

Updated Review: Rating changed from 2 stars to 5. So after posting this review, I called the restaurant to speak to a manager about what the young lady said to me. The manager was so awesome! She apologized to me and said that the comment should definitely not been said in that way. She was sweet, funny and said she would address the employee about best customer service practices. Thank you Manager Brie. You are an asset to your company.“

“Shout out to Ms. Kat, Queen Nat (apologize if I have this wrong). Excellent service from beginning to the end. When I pulled up to the order menu, addressed me immediately, helped me with ordering since I'm severely allergic to certain foods. When I got to the drive thru pickup, had a smile, took my money, food came out HOT and thanked me. SERVICE! That is what I miss and don't see anymore. Give these two employees a raise or a day off with pay! Or make them trainers...on how customer service should be done.

“I don’t come here too often unless I have a dog on my schedule where I have to take Yearling Rd back home. Usually I treat myself to lunch and get their chicken strip basket with the gravy and honey mustard dipping sauces. Food always tastes & looks fresh and they never leave my sauces out of the bag.“

“This location is wonderful. Any employees I've enteracted with here have been very professional and friendly even when it's right before closing time. I work 2nd shift so finding dinner when I get out of work can be a challenge and I typically don't like placing orders in the last 15 minutes a restaurant is open but the employees here didn't make me feel bad greated me with a smile. Oh and the food is always on point. My wings are always sauced well. My pizza is always picture perfect and so are the breadsticks I get.
