We stopped in, were greeted by a kind man and saw not much was left except some Cinnamon Rolls. Figured that meant they must’ve been good, tried one of them and it was amazing! “We visited today and had a fabulous experience. The staff was helpful and friendly. The cafe itself was well appointed (actual silverware, not plastic), water carafes available along with lemon slices for no extra charge, clean, bright - even the soap in the bathroom smelled wonderful! But the almond croissants were amazing. Not to sound pretentious, but we've eaten almond croissants in Paris and they didn't even come close to the greatness of what we ate at Sophie's. The latte I had and the espresso my husband had was also delicious. We were in the area, traveling across the great divide from the west side of the county, and are so glad we stopped in. It would be a challenge to the waist line if we lived closer but we will certainly add regular visits to Sophie's even if it's just for coffee and an almond croissant. Also, the painting of Sophie at the front door is wonderful. Our own Sophie-dog crossed over the rainbow bridge last year so the painting was extra special to us. Run, do not walk, to this wonderful cafe.“

“Always stock up on rye bread when in town. It was still steaming when being sliced. SO DELICIOUS!Somehow several boxes of cookies, bags of assorted pastries, and some brown mustard made its way into my bag too!“

“This was actually the second time I stopped in. The first time they had just opened and some of the things weren't quite up to par (soggy pastries like they had been frozen and thawed out). Anyways I decided to give it another try and this time was much better. I got a caramel frappe which was very good (I forgot to take a picture). I also got the cheese tart and a custard bun. They were both pretty good although nothing spectacular since they are fairly simple pastries. Overall I would say if you're in the area stop by and give it a try.“

She delivered the cake on time and made sure to give us instructions and a box to transport once the event was over. The cake was a great hit and made our special day complete.
