“What a wonderful experience. We were actually in route to eat somewhere else nearby but it looked to be way too crowded. While driving around I notice The Gateway Diner and decided to try it.Wow. The food was great. The environment was great. The service was fantastic.This will definitely be a new breakfast and lunch spot for us.“

“I picked up a Biga Big Pepperoni this evening. This is one loaded pepperoni pizza. I think they use aged pepperoni that gets crunchy around the edges. So good! The cheese is the best around and highly recommended. The drive through girl was very pleasant and I did not have to wait. The only downside was that the pizza was really greasy on the bottom for some reason this time. Great pie and great service.“

Hidden in Waterloo Arts District, this place has an industrial aesthetic and comfortable feel that is great for working. “Atmosphere? It’s a gas station but with a very nice convenient store and a FANTASTIC kitchen!Wanted a Smash Burger but they were out. ? But… I had a Reuben and it was delicious! “A great local ice cream chain! I visited here on the solar eclipse day and while the line was out the door, it moved quickly. I had been here before and got the chocolate peanut butter cup, which I found underwhelming. This time, I got the peanut butter fudge sundae with caramel fudge brownie ice cream. The sundae was reasonably priced ($7) with a good portion size, and it was delicious. The peanut butter and hot fudge were delicious, and the ice cream was rich and creamy, with plenty of hearty fudge chunks. “Great independent coffee shop - we stopped here because the bagel place down the street doesn't make espresso-based beverages on Sundays. Everyone was super friendly and efficient. “The best pizza in this area!! We tried many pizzas in different restaurants but my boyfriend and I agreed that Abo's pizza was the best. Their crust/dough was so good and had an excellent flavor. It was relatively thin but could hold the toppings. We had one of their specialty pizzas, Mediterranean, together with a Caesar salad. Large pizza was more than enough to share for two people. Service was good, prices were reasonable but we thought $10 for a piece of cheese cake was a bit steep. Anyways, we will go back there for sure.Update:We went back & ordered Calamari, Margarita Pizza (BEST) , Linguine with Calamari, & Gnocchi. “We tried this place on a recommendation from a friend. We ordered two pizzas and one of their daily specials, linguine with lobster. I also tried their clam chowder, which was very good, and that's saying something coming from someone who originally came from New England. All three were excellent. We will definitely be working through their menu over the next year.“

“Hosted my sister's 50th and everything was perfect! We had wings, tator skins, peppers and onions and nachos. The food was good! The party room held well over 50 people no problem and having a separate bar in it was perfect. The 2 bartenders were sweet and patient. The bar also had a dj on the outdoor patio, that was the icing on the cake! So so fun!“

“I love Best Gyros, I came upon them on DoorDash and I ordered a gyro and chili cheese fries and it was soooo good. They have their days when the food doesn’t taste how it should because of the difference cooks, I just recently ordered some food and even though I had a great portion of gyro meat, it was soooo salty which was disappointing! “We are so lucky to have CP's in our community. Yeah, their ice cream is great and it's reasonable priced, but the ownership is amazing. I don't know them, but I'm so impressed when a business owner not only values their employees, but also believes in being a good steward to their community. We definitely don't go as much as we'd like, but anytime we want ice cream, this is where we go!“

“The smoked BBQ was good but they were stingy on the BBQ sauce amd didn't offer anything else for sauces. The Brisket was a bit dry and the meals were set on a peice of toast you couldn't cut with a fork but the service and atmosphere was great. But thats was my opinion“
