“Went to eat at Bandana Reds Steakhouse tonight! On Old Hwy 270 in Shawnee Oklahoma. Our waitress Holly was stellar she highly recommend the sauteed vegetables and twice baked potatoes which those veggies were perfect! The steak was cooked on Kingsford charcoal and they were both cooked to perfection! The atmosphere felt like home! Ooh I can not forget about the homemade rolls, so so yummy!

I highly recommend trying this place out if you're ever passing through or staying in Shawnee, OK! I would forsure be back!

“I want to live here. First the basics.... Very Clean. Really Great Staff. Comfortable Bed. Convenient location right off the Interstate. Gas and snacks just a few yards away. Very reasonably priced for a casino hotel. You don't even have to get in your car to get a quick bite on the other side of the building or to get an amazing Brazilian-style steak. And, of course, there's the casino. Perhaps I'm this positive because I left with more money than I came with. But even so, I'm still glad I spent four nights here. Can't wait to go back.”

“I’ve lived in Shawnee since 2016 and somehow I’ve never stopped by this place despite knowing it was here. After a neighbor and her friend were raving about the stir fry, we knew we had to try it too. Everything was amazing! I’ll start with the appetizers: If you’re a fan of the still-closed (as of 7/2024) Shawnee Pho then you’ll love the “Fresh Rolls” here at Saya Thai (comparable to SP’s Spring Rolls). Get extra sauce and load up! Moving on to the main course, I went for the Garlic Stir Fry with a Spicy Level 1 because I love spicy food but not so spicy I can’t taste my food. They have a scale of 5 for theirs, and my neighbor recommended a 2.5 so my husband went for a 3 with his Crying Tiger — which is a 12oz steak. I don’t think I could handle the continuous building of spice from his, but it was absolutely fantastic! Mine was moreso flavoring than spicy, so I’ll be doing at least a 2 next time. Desert: We don’t normally make it a habit, especially when we’re so full we have leftovers, but this place was too amazing not to. We went for the fried bananas and ice cream. I wish there was more chocolate and caramel but only because I don’t like coconut so I skipped the ice cream. The bananas are so gooey but the texture doesn’t get weird. So worth the price! As for the service and the atmosphere, everything was great. The service was perfect and the staff was very kind. I also really loved how the place was set up and decorated. Very simple and great lighting. I’ll definitely be back before I leave for Denver this weekend, and again when I return!”

I contacted the restaurant by Facebook on Easter Sunday to ask if would be possible to take some salsa and chips to take to a life-long friend who is in the hospital in Duncan, Okla. He grew up and lived many years in Meeker, and was a devoted customer of Abuelita Rosa, and loves their salsa. The staff agreed to prepare a special order that I picked up Monday before opening and took down to Duncan as a surprise. Not only did they have the salsa, but also queso, tortillas, chips. It was a great spread and really uplifted this whole family. This simply confirms my already high opinion of Abuelita Rosa!”

The cinnamon plum is my favorite afternoon tea if you're looking for something delicious and want to avoid caffeine. Also, they are the only place I've ever been to that gets the balance of the rose and lavender right for the milk teas. (It's tricky to do without it winding up tasting like soap, so definitely a testament to their staff's skills!)”

“I was in Shawnee last week. As a vegan, I had planned to eat at The Owl Shoppe for a black bean burger. It was not available on Saturday and I was so disappointed. The chef overheard and said she would make one for me. It was truly the best I've ever had. It was smothered with sweet potato mash, red onions, chimichuri, and other delectable vegetables. I can't say enough about the excellent taste and quality of the food, and the commitment to excellence these women have. Go eat there!!!”

We had Eggs Benedict and All American Breakfast with two sides of the Roasted Brussel Sprouts. Everything was phenomenal. Zach was our server and was such a pleasurable young man to us. “Pulled off at the exit to sit out bad weather and were pleasantly surprised by the delicious Indian food we found here!! Our group split orders of Chicken Tikki Masala, chicken curry, butter chicken and a couple of orders of garlic naan... We'll definitely make this a stopping point again any time I pass through!!”
