“This place is labeled by Yelp as "dive bar." Well, OK. But it is a super pleasant place, where everyone is super friendly and standard beers and drinks are served. It is semi-kitschy, but probably better described as a friendly bar habitated by people who like bicycling and that culture. They did not have music the night that I was there. I will look forward to returning to Soundpony next time I return to Tulsa.“

“Really wonderful atmosphere with a vast booze selection and very knowledgeable staff. Great bar for meeting to talk business or a low key intimate night. Live music is also great here with a dance floor, which is increasingly rare these days. If tables are more your style they have a great selection of pub and regular tables situated as near or far from the "action" as you choose to be. They have a dart board and of course, internet juke box and ample parking. Also, worth noting, bathrooms are well lit, and always clean and stocked. A perfect little hidden gem that's been serving Tulsa for decades.“

It's kind of dim inside, there's some natural light, but not much. The appetizers and entrees were quite delicious. I personally loved the Pita bread with chokes and cheese dip over the Crab cake. The beef tenderloin taco salad was pretty great, but the Crab Stuffed Trout is where it's at! The fish alone was so rich in flavor! The crab stuffing was the cherry on top. It's a perfect dish“

The menu is still varied, so most people will be able to find something to like. We ordered a variety from seafood to pasta to steak and all was very good. “This is an "open to the public" VFW lounge. Its an awesome place if you like nostalgia. The building is just a couple years shy of being 100 years old. Built in 1923, it has been extremely well-maintained and is clean and fun. When you walk in, it's almost like you're walking back in time. I love these types of bars where you can meet just good, regular, every day folks. Savannah and staff are great and you may even run into Dan, the Post Commander! They had fun events here including burlesque shows, DJs, karaoke, and live music. They also have your standard fare touch tunes jukebox, a pool table, And strategically placed a big screen televisions for your favorite sporting event. This is a great place to come after work, or spend a Friday or Saturday night out with your friends. Prices are reasonable and what you would expect.“

It's a nice little shot-gun bar... long, straight bar with stools, and a few little tables in the back, set just above the bar. They've got darts in the back, and they're always playing great music. It's dark and smokey, with lots of regulars, but everyone is very friendly and easy to talk with (not a stranger in the lot). If you're there over the weekend, make sure to cozy up to the bartender, Joe. The most easy going bartender in town, and fantastic taste in music! It's right in the middle of Cherry Street, so stop by after your next date night and check 'em out! Highly recommended.“

If you love the 80s, you will love the characters including a giant, Stay Puft marshmallow man from Ghostbusters, ET, Skee-Ball machines ,video arcade games, and a DJ, (who sadly wasn't playing the night we were there). What drew us in and captured us initially was the big, white fluffy dog from the Never Ending Story!“

“After being chased away from another happy hour by an over zealous air conditioner, Dan and I checked out O'Brien's Tavern. It is a small and well run pub with a happy hour from 11 to 7 everyday. I didn't ask if anything else is discounted during happy hour, but domestic beer is $2.50. We sat at the bar and Katlin took good care of us. She told us all about the pub and the various activities they have. There's live music on Fridays, but as yet, no Celtic music. Maybe in the future. Monday is music bingo, Wednesday is Trivia night. Thursday is karaoke night. They have plans in the future for Saturday nights. The customers were very friendly and polite. Many seem to know each other. A man showed up and was loudly greeted by his friends. This appears to be a Cheers type of pub where everyone knows your name and they're very glad you came.O'Brien's has a small menu of bar food. The cook didn't come in today, but Katlin was able to cook us up some dynamite wings. I noticed they have some speciality drinks which I look forward to trying. We look forward to our next visit.“
