“I first was introduced to Val & Patsy's when they were at Pickering Flea Market. Was there every Sunday and on the way out stopped and grabbed my food. When flea market closed figured everything shut down so looked at different places. Some were so so others just ok, As I was driving I guess over a year ago on Monarch Avenue in Ajax saw a sign posted on the boulevard. When I walked in to my surprise saw Patsy. I was so glad as there are no places that I searched for held a candle to this place. Val and Patsy's don't know how do but have a unique flavor that my taste buds can't get enough. Been a loyal customer since that day found and if any of you check out not only will understand my review but bet you also will find your nook in the corner for Island Food.“

“Ordered from Chris’ Jamaican kitchen this Saturday evening for my families dinner. We got the oxtail dinner, browned steam fish, stew peas and jerk chicken dinner. I see a lot of complaint about "they don't talk to people etc" clearly some of you lonely enough to be complaining about not having a conversation. I don't want someone talking over my food while serving me and sometimes I am so hungry ? that I only want monotone with a smile and my food quick!!! Good job ladies!!!“

They serve the best tasting jerk chicken I have ever had and I've quickly grown obsessed with their chicken sandwich. The staff is also very amicable, accommodating and welcoming.
