“I can’t say enough about how amazing the service was today at August 8 Upper James! From the moment we walked in, we had such a great experience, and a huge part of that was thanks to Carolyn, the manager. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of throughout our entire visit.

The food was also amazing! Everything came out fresh, beautifully prepared, and tasted delicious. We had a variety of sushi, including salmon and shrimp, and everything was so good.

Thank you Carolyn and the entire August 8 Upper James team for such a wonderful experience. Amazing food, great atmosphere, and truly exceptional service. We will definitely be back! 🤍“

“My family orders from Sushi Ya all the time, the quality of their fish is insanely good. The fish to rice ratio is perfect. No other sushi restaurant in Burlington/Waterdown area even holds a candle to this place. Even the appetizers are just so much better than most places. If you haven’t tried it, you should, you won’t be disappointed.“

“The food is good. The dining area is beginning to look dingy The women’s bathroom is disgusting & needs a good clean“
