“Best jerk in barrie.
I’ve gone 3 times and it’s always the same 2 nice people working.
I have been a fan of jerk chicken , rice / peas and some slaw for years. I used to work all around the GTA and have tried my fair share. This place gets it right. Yes, it’s the right amount of heat and yes, they pour some of the magical jerk gravy on top of the chicken allowing it seep down into the rice below before closing the lid.
The medium size is more than enough and I do wish they had sweet plantains but not a deal breaker.
Not much seating but right across from a lake view park where you can find a bench.

“Excellent everything. My favourite west indie place in Barrie. Everything I’ve tried is perfect, their goat curry 🙌🏻 oxtail 👌🏻 Tried their roti & 🥹 jerk chicken roti with oxtail gravy, highly recommend it. Even better than my favourite Toronto places! Highly recommend. Very great staff, always friendly & nice, too. Hey Smiley! 😃“

“I have enjoyed each item I have tried here. The fried chicken is crispy without being greasy. I don't know how they do it. The rice is very tasty. The Sloppy Lasagna is surprisingly yummy. The coleslaw has just the right amount of dressing. Counter service rather than eat-in. I will be back with thanks.“
