“Wonderful little place, with a much larger menu than you'd expect from a fish n chips place. Steak and curry dishes stand out to me as totally unexpected (but welcome) surprises. I ordered the steak, and was impressed by the portion size, price and quality. Very friendly and welcoming owners. VERY generous portions of fries on the side. Prices rival the cheapest fast food, with much better quality. No limitation for menu availability, steak for breakfast or breakfast for dinner are both available. Would definitely recommend, and will be returning.“

“Heritage Fish and Chips truly delivers a delightful culinary experience that caters to the cravings of those seeking the classic combination of perfectly crispy fish and delectably seasoned chips. The star of the show is undoubtedly the expertly prepared fish, boasting a satisfying crunch on the outside while maintaining a tender and flaky interior. The portion sizes are notably generous, ensuring that diners leave with contented appetites. In addition to the stellar fare, the service at Heritage Fish and Chips is characterized by its efficiency and attentiveness. The staff is generally prompt, contributing to an overall positive dining experience. The ambiance further complements the gastronomic journey, providing a cozy and inviting atmosphere that enhances the enjoyment of the meal. Only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is they gave me expired ketchup. I took pictures. But the food was amazing. Only the ketchup was expired last year. While personal tastes may vary, Heritage Fish and Chips stands as a solid choice for those who appreciate a traditional and well-executed fish and chips experience. Whether you're a local looking for a reliable go-to or a visitor in search of a satisfying meal, this establishment consistently offers a satisfying blend of flavors and a welcoming dining atmosphere.Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options available for vegetarians they are very accommodating and very understanding of the dietary restriction on vegetariansDietary restrictions: Very accommodating and very understanding of the dietary restriction on your people who are interested in the dietary restrictionParking: Lots of parkingKid-friendliness: Very kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Very wheelchair accessible“

“Fish was really tasty and piping hot. Fries were also really good. We would have preferred a nicer area outside to sit and eat but that isn't likely feasible at that location.I thought the price was reasonable but slightly on the high side. But it did hit the spot on our drive home.“

“I normally attend the location by Queen St & Hwy 410. My first time eating in here was absolutely phenomenal! Tom went BEYOND above and beyond to be accommodating. Extremely courteous and pleasant. The fish was done perfectly, tender and not overly greasy. Price was beyond fair. 2 of us ate for under $20. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!“

“Best fish and chips in Vaughan and as authentic as you can get in London, UK. The portions are generous and well priced at $22.99 (via UberEats) for 12oz Haddock, small chips, coleslaw, lemon twist, and fresh tartar sauce. The Haddock batter was thin and crispy, and fish was moist and tender. The chips aren’t crispy or seasoned, but they’re not supposed to be as is the case in England. Although chips are usually more lightly cooked, I prefer browned chips for more colour and flavour. The fish has all the crisp you need and it pairs well with soft chips. The vinegar based coleslaw was thinly sliced and adds great freshness. I appreciate the fresh lemon included, and malted vinegar and ketchup packets on the side. The fresh tartar sauce was great. It’s not too tangy, and I prefer that so you can add as much or little lemon/vinegar to taste. My only small criticism is maybe add more seasoning (salt) to the fish and/or fish batter. The fish and chips were a bit oily, and although I’d prefer it less oily, I know that’s a challenge without losing the crisp texture - it didn’t bother me much. Maybe a slightly higher temp and shorter cook time? However, the oil was fresh and no bitter taste (that comes in old or unfiltered oil) - I greatly appreciate that. You have to level set expectations when it comes to oil - you’re getting fish and chips, and not a salad.Overall, it was delicious and I highly recommend to anyone looking for great fish and chips, and definitely best in Vaughan (after having tried many). I called the store to let them know on a job well done. I had to give due respect and appreciation. I wish I had taken pictures, but I was much too hungry. Bottom line, get the Haddock.Vegetarian options: They also serve Middle Eastern food like falafel.“
