“I stopped by the Mr. Sub on Chemong Road in Peterborough and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. As soon as I walked in, three staff members greeted me warmly – super friendly and welcoming right away.

I ordered a breaded chicken sub, and they prepared it expertly. They took real care with layering the vegetables and sauces, making sure everything was perfectly balanced. It turned out delicious – one of the best subs I’ve had in a while.

The place was spotlessly clean, and even the bathroom impressed me with good water pressure, plenty of paper towels, and soap available. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained.

Gagan made my order and whole experience was amazing. She just made my pita perfectly. “My absolute favourite place for subs. I've always preferred Mr Sub to Subway but the sheer love and care that comes from this location is felt in every bite of your sandwich. Some people will write off Mr Sub as just another "fast food sandwich store" but the expertise and care Hina places into every order she does, and the way she has ensured her staff is trained - it's noticeable. Other Mr Subs don't feel the way this one does. After a long day at work, I am happy to make that extra stop here to get food that I know is going to fill my belly, have an experience that makes me smile and supports a business owner here in Peterborough. “Nice establishment, friendly staff. My only minor complaint is that I purchased a veggie and cheese sub while my husband purchased a ham and cheese. Both were the same cost, which doesn’t make much sense given the we both had the same single slice of cheese, veggie toppings but he had also 4 slices of ham. Additional cheese (say in lieu of ham) costs extra. The difference in price doesn’t have to be major, but I would expect some difference if you get less.“

It is a bit of a wait for customers behind us. A 3rd or even 4th employee would be hugely beneficial, even if just for peak times.
I've got subs and wraps here. The subs always tend to not be evenly spread - one bite is bun, the 2nd bite is the veg, the 3rd bite is the meat. Not sure if there really is any other way to build a sub tho?“

“There should be more than one person working on a Sunday no matter what time of day having to wait over 20 min for a couple subs is bad I feel terrible for the young lady behind the counter having to work by her self even if it’s almost closing time“

“The Lakefield Subway is usually my first option for a to go lunch, during work. The sub masters behind the counter are always really kind and I’ve seen them take a lot from customers. I get the same sub every time and it’s always delicious. The cookies are soft and my favourite part of my meal, besides the friendly workers. Love this Subway.

Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere is a good spot to take children. Lots of seating and I think they have booster seats (could be wrong, I’ll check next time I go). Lots of extra napkins available and the washroom is accommodating.“
