Sparrow Brewing & Roasting Co. Brewery • $$

“This is our favourite local place to go. The staff is the absolute best and all of their beers are outstanding. As if that weren’t enough their coffee is also delicious. It’s such a great family vibe in the brew house, there’s no other place that we want to go when we want that experience close to home.“

Foundry Brewing Company Brewery •

“Stopped in here for a drink. Didn't no anything about the place. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left the service was excellent. The hostess that sat us was really welcoming. It was our waitress first day and you would have thought she had been there for years. Was quick too check on our table. When our cups were low, she quickly checked to see if we needed another drink. She was kind, pleasant and was well deserving of a tip.. Food was excellent, ordered the smoked pork chop dinner. Being $33.00 I was thinking it was a bit high but they lived up to there price. The portion was more than filling potatoes carrots and asparagus was cooked perfectly and full of flavour. The pork chop was cooked to perfection. Nice cut of meat, juicy! Not dried out and tough. Restaurant has a huge drink menu, I tried there light lager. My girlfriend tried there regular lager. Both beers we very good, not over powered by hops like alot of craft breweries are putting out. Beer tasted like what you would expect a decent pint should. Beer was price at a resonable price of 6.50 not the 9 dollars most restaurants have been charging for craft beer. The entire place is gorgeous inside would definitely recommend and will return again. Great place for a first day or an anniversary/wedding.“

“Highly recommend! We are from Michigan and wanted something similar to one of our spots back home and this did not disappoint! All of the staff was very friendly and helpful! It was international women’s day so they created a special drink for it. I ended up going with the blueberry cider which was great! My husband got whiskey on the rocks. Family friendly atmosphere - lots of board games and a ping pong table.Kid-friendliness: Lots of board games and ping pong table“

Wellington Brewery Brewery • $$
950 Woodlawn Rd W, Guelph

“Historically I have not been a fan of their beer, but my wife loves the New England hazy stuff they brew. So I ordered her some beer and some for me to try again for Christmas. Wellington happily took the money upon ordering and have not responded to a single email following up on the order (four sent now) - we are on Day 23. Terrible customer service, a coworker orders from them for our office supply; will convince them to try somewhere else because of this incident.EDIT: Wellington Brewery contacted me finally after this review and solved the issue. They said it was a one off and had the order delivered via someone's car (instead of company vehicle). Everything was resolved in about one hour and the delivery was at my door with a refund. Outstanding service once it was tracked down.“

Willibald Farm Distillery & Brewery Brewery • $$
1271 Reidsville Rd, Ayr

“Last night's dining experience at Willibalds was nothing short of incredible. The "Spirit Dinner" featuring a 5-course cocktail and food pairing was a unique journey through the restaurant's distilling history. Each course, inspired by their vodka, gin (x2), whiskey, and beer, was a masterpiece of creativity and flavor. The presentation was impeccable, adding to the overall experience. The service was attentive and friendly, enhancing the warmth of the environment. This was by far the best pairing event I have ever attended, excelling in every aspect from the cocktails and food to the service and ambiance. Willibald's truly delivered an outstanding dining experience. I hope these special entrees make it to their regular menu! Tuna Ceviche, Thai Smoked Pork Terrine, Grilled Flank Steak, Smoked Duck Ham, Apple Tarte Tatin...yum. Thanks team!“

Sleeman Retail Store & Taproom Brewery • $$
551 Clair Rd W, Guelph

“At roughly $5 and a bit for a pint of Sleemans who could ask for more?Me! that's who, (just a little more) While Sleemans produce a good variety of beer styles you wouldn't know it if their tap selections were any indication, Sleeman 2.0, Sleeman Original Draft, And Sleemans Cream ale were the only beers being offered, Not their dark, not their Silver Creek Lager, and surprisingly not their Sapporo, that was a bit of a disappointment,You figure they would have had that on draught, or at least something that contrasts all the lager/pilsner type beer like maybe Sleemans dark, But Alas????At $5ish a pint for a premium beer I can't really complain too much,Nice patio which I enjoyed even when it started to lightly rain, it was still nice, The staff was attentive but not overly so,The gift shop was nice and had some cool gifts for purchase, I walked away with a Heavy Sleemans glass tankard which is going with me to England in a month for my friend who collects beer memorabilia,I enjoyed the upstairs observation area, very cool to see aspects of the production of your beer, Very cool! All in all a very nice experienceWould definitely come again if I were in the area,“
