“Absolutely loved the chef’s menu option - so many delicious signature dishes to try. We started with a selection of dips and yummy bread with zaatar spice. Then delicious salad with persimmon, unbelievable tuna tartar in lettuce wraps, beet salad that was to die for. And finally - branzino grilled to perfection and a rack of lamb. We finished off with an incredible pistachio desert that was not too sweet and just the perfect end to a beautiful meal. The drink recommendations were excellent too. Healthy, beautifully-presented meal and the quantity was generous for $100/pp. Wonderful service and atmosphere! Highly recommend.“

It tasted odd... shortly after,, I called the location to tell them, something was off with the ingredients. I wasn't sure of it was the onions, turnips etc. something was left out too long perhaps... and today I am sick as a dog. I've eaten here before. I think they need better quality control on the food... especially being safely stored.. perhaps temperatures..etc“

“I was a single diner but unfortunately there was a 20-30 minute wait at the door due to the restaurant being fully booked. However, I noticed bar seats and decided to dine at the bar. Shamin greeted me with no hesitation and quickly took my appetizer order which to my surprise came out very fast. The portions are on the larger scale, can definitely be sharing plates. I also ordered the lamb chop dish with basmati rice and apparently received more than what was expected of the plate. “Ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and a chicken plate with a pop — came out to about $30. Plate is a solid portion, rice, salad, and sauce, honestly amazing value for the size. Chicken was well-seasoned and not dry which is all I ask. Wrap was good too but the plate is the move.

I walked into Amato Gyro and was instantly loving it. Super clean, a few cute tables & chairs to eat at, then I saw the gorgeous presentation of food in their display. A plethora of perfect looking samosas, in every variety. Delicious, juicy-looking quarter-chickens. Fresh marinated fish filets. A bunch of other yummy dishes. Rows of fresh baklava.

I ordered a $9.99 Chicken Shawarma surprise bag. It wasn’t until I arrived that Jumman began preparing my food, so I knew it was freshly made. He placed the chicken on the grill with some onions & green cabbage/bean sprouts mix. After that, Jumman filled my to-go-box with a huge portion of saffron rice. Then he offered me all the fixings - lettuce, tomatoes, grilled pink cabbage, tabbouleh, raw onions, pickled turnips, cornichon pickles, hummus, tahini, hot sauce and garlic sauce.

Somewhere in between, the chicken shawarma mix was added to the bed of rice…

The final result was, bar none, the best tasting chicken shawarma I’ve EVER HAD!!!“
