My biggest complaint is you have to wait in long lines because they only allow people with less than 15 items to use self checkout. Personally I often prefer srl checkout and it's annoying as hell standing in line for 15 minutes for a human to ring up my groceries when I could do my own checkout much faster. Why have 6 self checkouts when they're empty and you can't use them. Drives me nuts“

“I saw Sugar and Slice at the Welland market today and couldn’t resist trying the pecan butter tarts. The 2 ppl serving me were lovely and informed me that I need to compost the container because the packaging is made from plants. That extra care is amazing and I was so happy when they told me. I saved them for a family post dinner treat and OMG these pecan butter tarts were the best we have ever had!! Perfect amount of crust, gooey inside, crunchy pecans, and the topping- whoa- caramelized sugary perfection. Amazing job you guys! Thank you for a wonderful shopping experience, your extra environmental care and the amazing treats. So glad I stopped 😍“

“We had an amazing visit today on our way through. The cafe was adorable, the baked goods some of the best we have ever had, the owners were super sweet and our daughter absolutely loved the homemade watermelon lemonade. There were also coloring books and everything was super clean and cozy! 10/10 recommend!“

“I stopped in yesterday for the 1st time and man oh man is this place a little gem. I was unsure of what to get so the gentleman who was there gave me a piece of the baklava to try...IT WAS ABSOLUTLEY DELICIOUS. I ended up buying a couple pieces of each flavor (cashew, almond, pistachio and traditional). Don't even get me started on the honey cake with pistachios...DROOLSSSS. I will most certainly be back to give the shawarma a try after having such a good experience with the fresh yummy desserts.
