“Outside is a corner lot that looks like your local garage, very unassuming but stepping inside you are welcomed into a small restaurant clean tidy and the smells of coffee and delicious food being prepared. The gentleman in the kitchen greets us with a friendly smile as he works his grill and his son seats us at our table, we are surrounded by history and decades worth of family and friemds on the wall and the experience is apparent in every bite of the great food we were served. My steak and eggs were cooked to perfection just as I wanted, can't wait to stop here again whem we pass by Barrie to say hi, eat amd get more of that great hot sauce. Thank you Fil and family, see you soon.“

“A really great restaurant, great food, lovely staff that go way above and beyond! Short story my Dad is a regular, was ill and the owner and staff went way out of their way to personally deliver him his favourite meal. These fantastic people truly care about their customers, wish I could give them 6 stars!“

“I drove/walked by Elpida a hundred times - I’m so glad I finally came in! The espresso was excellent, the hot chocolate was amazing (my husband a hot chocolate aficionado asked if he could have a second one!) and the baked goods vere lovely. Most of all the young couple of Elpida are beautiful - warm, friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and community oriented.

“This place has such a cool vibe to it. Coffee is great along with the sweet and savoury items available. I had the browned butter Rice Krispie square- can you say yummy? Staff were super nice and bring your order to your table. They have an upstairs as well where you can sit and view the lake. Washrooms were also clean. Can’t wait to go back.“
