“Kenji Sushi in King City is an absolute gem. The quality and care they put into every dish truly sets them apart.

The hand rolls are exceptional: Fresh, generous, and perfectly balanced. The torched oshi sushi was especially memorable: rich and, flavourful, and executed well. We were also pleasantly surprised that their party trays include oshi sushi, which was a refreshing and welcome change from the typical selections you see elsewhere.

Service was outstanding from start to finish. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and are already looking forward to returning.“

“The sushi here is incredibly fresh and easily the best I have had in the area so far! It is genuinely on par with many of the sushi restaurants I have tried in Japan which really surprised me. The atmosphere is great, the vibe is just right, and the staff are very kind and attentive. I ordered the Sapporo Boat with my family and was honestly blown away by how good everything was, there wasn’t a single item I wouldn’t order again! Even the sushi rice stood out as being above average really bringing everything together. I highly highly recommend this any sushi lovers in the area!!“

“The staff are always really friendly, which makes eating in feel relaxed and welcoming. The sashimi is usually pretty decent and fresh, though a couple of the salmon pieces were a bit stringy on this visit.

The chirashi don was the standout for me – for around $24, the portion and quality were totally worth it. I also order from this place a lot on Uber Eats and the food is consistently good when it arrives. Overall, a solid neighborhood sushi spot that I’m happy to keep going back to.“

“The restaurant, service and food at this restaurant was good. However the only downside is that the customers are literally asked to pay a tip. During this difficult period of the pandemic, it is hard to leave a tip. It should be optional but if you do not tip, you are sort of asked "why no tip". This becomes odd and the customer should be given the discretion to tip. This is the reason, I am giving 4 stars to this restaurant.“

“Incredible experience at Sushi Land!
This was my second visit, and once again, everything was absolutely amazing. The sushi was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices are surprisingly affordable for the quality you get.

The staff were so polite and welcoming, which really added to the overall experience. One of the best touches is that with every sushi order, they serve a complimentary miso soup — and it’s genuinely delicious! They also bring you a pot of green tea with your meal, which just makes everything feel even more thoughtful and complete.

I highly recommend trying the Alaska roll — it was a standout! Honestly, this is some of the best sushi I’ve had in recent times, and I’ll definitely be coming back again. Sushi Land has earned a solid spot on my favorites list!“

“Treat yourself to a warm sushi hug.

We’d been to Hug Sushi’s OG location years ago and finally tried this dine-in spot. Now I wish we’d come sooner! The all-you-can-eat dinner features their well-balanced house special sushi and are decently small allowing you to try more variety.

We enjoyed the hug roll (a salmon avocado roll topped w/ torched salmon + ikura), the crazy roll (with a mound of crabmeat), a BBQ eel roll and even a honey mustard roll for fun that somehow works. Other good picks were the spider roll featuring soft shell crab and the scallop sushi. The sashimi here is thick cut like it should be so you can taste real fresh umami flavours.

We were too intrigued by their sushi selection to try much else. However, grilled shrimp skewers were crisp & well-seasoned and the mango shrimp & salmon salads were refreshing starters. Tempuras were decent as well. For dessert, they have mango sago and deep fried milk which is rare for AYCE sushi but matches another good nearby spot in Maple. Everything arrived quickly.

So what’s the verdict? We’ll definitely be back again at Hug Sushi. Just overlook the lack of interior tidiness and you’re bound to enjoy too!“

“Got something for kids. Good sushi. A little bit exhausted customer service but I guess that's okay. May be they were tired due to rush hour. There should be an option to get a 50% of a platter at 50% price. Not every family can eat 146pcs.“

“Seriously wanted to gatekeep this place it’s so good in terms of price and taste.

One night we ordered mixed tray for $38. It has some sashimi, some rolls some makis, and torched sushi. Everything was well executed. Even with a simple crab roll, it’s so chunky and you can taste the nori and crab it’s freshly made. If I have to pick on one thing it would be the sashimi. It’s a tad bit too cold and some has tendon.

The other day we ordered a salmon lover and a chicken bento. On the menu it says the chicken bento comes with all these things like tempuras, choice of Cali roll/spicy salmon/spicy crab roll, gyoza, and a pop for $16! When I opened the boxes it’s just beyond my expectation! The chicken has crispy skin and like a steak not like the teriyaki chicken bits at the food court! Even the gyoza they give you some ponzu sauce to go with it! And the veggie tempura are so juicy on the inside, and of course there’s the tempura sauce too. Oh and the spicy salmon rolls on the side they are huge too, and the salmon is not small bits mixed with tonnes of tempura bits it’s actually chunky salmon pieces with just tiny tempura bits for added texture. All these attention to detail! For this price!

“Love love love this place. This time I had their Chirashi Sushi, and the Bulgogi dinner. The serving size was perfect if not on the larger size for me. Their food always tastes heavenly and fresh. Can't say enough great things about the sushi, the flavours of their dressings and sauces, and their presentation. Try it for yourself and find out.“

“First time there. Good variety of sushi and Korean foods. Server knew the menu and made good suggestions. He was quick to bring out sides and respond to questions. Food was delicious and fresh. The tempura shrimp was the most delicate, perfectly cooked I've ever had. Spicy pork combo gave a main with some sushi and tempurs sides. Delish, and will return!!“

“This was our first time at Takumi and we are pretty happy with this place. We order a platter and tempura appy. The restaurant didn’t look busy but there were a lot orders coming in for delivery or pick up. The platter took longer than we hoped but it is Friday night. We have been noticing that orders coming in take precedent over orders taken from customers dining in.
Overall, the fish was very fresh and the sashimi was cut generously. We enjoyed ourselves and will probably come back.“

“This is a great mom and pop shop. Very good in their customer service and you can feel the care they provide for their customers. The food is yummy and well presented. This area has no seating and washrooms. Their business style is to churn out as much sushi as possible for an affordable price. They got some specials as well.

The prices here are definitely on the higher end but honestly, the quality of the sushi, sashimi and even the miso soup made it feel all worth it! “I don't usually eat sushi, but this place knocked my socks off.
I ordered the Beto Box dinner which came with 2 pieces of shrimp and 2 pieces of salmon each resting on a bite sized mound of rice; thin slices of teriyaki chicken over vegetables; a healthy portion of white rice; 2 spring rolls and sliced orange fruit. It was all very well prepared and had wonderful flavors.
Next time I am in Toronto, I will be paying a visit to explore the other treasures on the menu.“
