We tried the wonton soup, kung pow chicken, spicy Singapore noodles with shrimp and the spicy pork spring rolls. Everything had its own distinct flavour and was fresh. I’m surprised there aren’t more comments on the kung pow chicken because it was absolutely delicious ? I really liked that the menu isn’t filled with fried foods. we will definitely return and explore more of the menu. Highly recommend you give them a try! Fair priced too!“
“Best Chinese food in Kingston! (And equal to Toronto Chinese food restaurants I grew up with.) Everything I’ve tried from Silver Wok has great flavour and never over cooked or mushy. Noodle dishes are always delicious and takeout doesn’t end up soggy. We usually order enough for a couple days of leftovers and it’s still delicious for work lunches!“

“We had a staff lunch ordered from here. The food were very authentic. The price was very reasonable with a great volume. The owner is very friendly as well. I recommend everyone who hasn't tried Sunflower yet to give them a chance.Vegetarian options: There are lots vegetarian choices like stir fried veggies(with rice or not) and variety of tofu dishes.“

“New ownership.Seems like everything was made from scratch. I had the soy beans and pork feet soup, and double cooked sliced pork dressed rice to go with it. The soup was a rare to find dish around this part of Ontario. It's excellent. Soup was tasty, full of flavor and the pork had the right texture and flavors. So food wise the chefs knew what they were doing.Definitely will come back for the food.However, they did have problems. The poor girl who was in trial for server position got several orders wrong and everything went to chaos. They certainly need better experienced servers. Or just provide a better training? And they still haven't gotten any prints of menu. I was told to check on dishes provided on a delivery app. I didn't have that on my phone and I wouldn't install any delivery app because of my bad experience with all of them. Anyway, there's a blackboard on the wall from the previous owner, why not utilize that?Hopefully they would get over the minor issues with a newly established restaurant and provide a fine dine in experience in the future.“
“Ok, so we ordered a large family meal for my wife’s birthday. We ordered about 270$ worth of food including a decent tip. The food as always was awesome, everyone here enjoyed the food and there was enough left over for everyone to take two or three meals home with them. We still have 3 days worth of food in the fridge and I would just like to thank the staff at New Garden for supplying our dinner and making my wife’s birthday a special one. New Garden is the only Chinese and Szechuan restaurant in all of Kingston that I will order from. Thanks again.“
“When I went to pick up a take out order the waitress was very rude. I was very polite and she didn’t seem to care that I was being polite. Had to go back in again after I got my food and again, she was rude and very short with me. Also, I guess you don’t get utensils in TAKE OUT orders?“
“I crave this place every day. Price is very good for the insane quality of their food. The taste is amazing and I always want to try something different. But I usually stick with the same thing because it's so good. I'm a big fan of their Lanzhou soup with the 6pc pan fried Bao. Pricing is good for the apps so me and my friends usually try a bunch of different ones never had a bad meal here. Highly reccomend.Parking: Two parking garages behind the building. Both paid. If ones full the other is usually decently full or close for lunch times. Both have a single parking ticket machine, or though HONK. Paid street parking out front“
“This is one review to take seriously...Chinese food is hands down my favorite food and to be honest it takes quite a bit to impress me and Chinese Palace has taken it to a whole other level of goodness!! I've tried almost every chinese restaurant in Kingston and Chinese Palace is on its own level.
