“Went there for lunch and it was a little cold with the entrance way door opening and closing so much during the lunch hour as there is a high school right next door. Everything else is great but also because of the demographic of the area they do not allow you to use the restroom. Other than those 2 things this subway is fine.“

“I ordered pickup for two subs, one of which was a combo. The making of my order was quick and well done. When I had an issue with my combo order, the worker at the counter helped me right away.

The subs were tasty and fully packed, and the cookies I got for my combo were great. This has been my favourite Subway location for years, and I hope they continue to provide excellent service.

“Super happy with my delivery order today. I'm 8 months pregnant and was really craving cookies (literally the only craving I've had) so I decided to order dinner from Subway so I could have their cookies. I noticed you can't select the cookie flavours anymore, it's just a 12 pack of chocolate chunk, so I put a note saying can you pretty please make it assorted flavours. Not only did they mix up the flavours, there was one extra and the white macademi nut cookies appeared fresh from the oven in all their gooey goodness ?
PS the subs were good too!“

“Look I love my university, but let me tell you I do not think the workers feel the same way. I cant help but laugh at this time that after class i went to go get a sub and the person behind the counter gave me the biggest death stare I have ever seen. Ill give you a break down of the interaction (this is serious by the way) Me: Hi there Worker: what do you want Me: Six inch sub please Worker *just stares at me as she cuts the bread and proceeds to say nothing* Me: Turkey please with swiss if i can? Worker: *Slams the turkey on the bread, one slice of cheese in the middle, drops it onto the cooking pan and puts it in the oven* Me: Oh sorry, can i have it not toasted? Worker: *Walks away to go on phone* The oven beeps, so the worker comes back and takes it out nicely and puts it on the counter Worker: *Stares at me* Me: oh i will have lettuce, tomato... Worker: *Grabs the lettuce and every other toping while not breaking eye contact, grips it so hard and slams it down onto the bread* I mean i dont mind because i look back at it and just laugh. They got my order right and everything but holy cow not even a smile it felt like i killed her cat that morning or something. So funny actually now that i think about it. Nothing else wrong, just slow. overall i like it 4/5 keep up the good work.“

“Its been a long time since I got a sandwich with fresh bread!! For the most part, I've received stale bread even though I've made a point to ask for fresh bread. Because most people like their sandwich toasted, they can get away with using stale bread!! I for one do not like my sandwiches toasted and that's why fresh bread is important to me. I mean who wants to eat a crumbly sandwich because that's what you'll get when the bread is stale! So a big thank you to this subway location for making me a great sandwich with fresh bread!! “The Subway at 1700 Hyde Park Rd. is next door to my office and is my go-to when I don't bring a lunch. Walked in today at 12:10pm. The staff is always friendly and they worked efficiently through the lunch rush.My wife had the sub of the day (sliced turkey) and I tried one of the new rice bowls, both of us combo'd the chips and fountain drink. We dined in. I visit a Subway for a reliable lunch. So, I typically order "whatever's cheap and low-calorie, please make it a combo."Today, I noticed new menu items crowding the arguably overfilled menu boards. Let's face it, Subway's menu is too crowded and seems like a "throw everything at the wall to see what sticks" strategy. I can't imagine owning a franchise and being asked to support product-line extensions that seem ever harder to integrate to the core offering (pasta? wings? are we trying to be Boston Pizza??!?).But when I saw the Rice Bowls, I thought this makes sense in terms of menu expansion and variety. They might appeal to the changing (more Asian) Canadian demographic, will be enjoyed by most anyone (as opposed to, say Kimchi, which is an acquired taste, yes, I'm in), and extends nicely from the core product line. And, maybe this will spark salad innovation which seems a missed opportunity on the existing menu.So, I had to try. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki rice bowl topped with a salad's worth of veggies and a dollop of smashed avo. Delicious. I think this is a winning menu concept. I'd give the visit and the meal five stars, but the combo offerings don't make sense for a rice bowl...can I just get a discounted fountain drink? I don't need the chips. Four stars.“

“I can definitely say that this store has the best employees, a few days ago, I went over there for Sub, one of their employees, wasn't sure the name mightt be 'Divyansh'. Actually I'm Pure veg swaminarayan, I don't eat eggs and onions as well so I asked the guy to suggest me and give me sauces which don't contain eggs and he made a sub with that eggless sauce and I have to say that I ate the best sub ever. He made a spicy sub with minimum sauces options available which I like the most.

I would recommend it to people who don't eat eggs, they should visit this store“

“I never have a problem with ordering a beef sub at any Subway. I always ask the sandwich maker to hold the dressing or it will be too soggy to enjoy at home. They always listen and make it the way I like it with lettuce, tomato and olives added. I've heard some people complain but I stick to the same beef sub each and every time and never have an issue.“

“I made an order online on 01/17/2025 on my way back home from work. I was so tired, and there was this labelling instructions that I usually add was added by default while I made this order. But with this specific order that special instructions wouldn’t make any sense. This nice lady who was working at that time called us right way and made sure we ordered the right thing. She could’ve ignored that instructions, which most people do at other locations and even at this same location by other people but instead she made sure we didn’t order the wrong one. My only regret is I totally forgot to tip her which she deserves. Well, I was super tired and hungry lol. I will definitely tip her next time if see her.“
