What a delightful surprise discovering Mr. Fire’s Kitchen — a Turkish café that instantly makes you feel at home!

From the moment we walked in, AZMIYE greeted us with genuine warmth and a bright smile. She patiently explained the menu and Turkish treats, making our visit not just about food but about connection. That personal touch made all the difference.

We ordered espresso, macchiato, olive börek, and beef börek — each freshly baked, golden, and crisp on the outside with rich, flavorful fillings. The coffee was strong, smooth, and perfectly balanced — a true taste of Turkey in every sip.

The café’s vibe is inspiring — from the uplifting quote on the wall, “The best thing I ever did was believe in me,” to the cheerful sign that says “It’s a good day to have a good day.” Every corner radiates positivity and charm.

You can also browse a lovely selection of Turkish products — Casvaa pistachio and Turkish coffee, Doğa Life herbal oils, Ülker and Halley biscuits, Berrak sauces, and more. It’s part café, part boutique — a little piece of Istanbul right in the heart of Mississauga.

“I recently visited Almast Turkish in Mississauga and overall the experience was fine, but not exceptional. I tried their baklava, which looked appealing, but the taste was just okay - not as rich or fresh as I’ve had at other Turkish spots. On the other hand, I did enjoy their coffee. It had a good flavour and was probably the highlight of my visit.

The service was polite and efficient, though nothing particularly memorable. The space itself is pleasant enough if you want to sit and have a dessert with coffee, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back. In my opinion, it’s a decent option if you’re nearby and craving something sweet, but it didn’t stand out compared to other bakeries or cafés in the area.

“G was a wonderful barista! She took our order and it came out quickly - we had barely gotten settled into our seats before she called out our drinks. We had a Nutella oat latte and my wife had a Regular oat latte. Both absolutely delicious and hot! The cafe was clean and the service was amazing. “I love coming to Coffee Culture, its so quiet and comfortable and everything I've ordered has been terrific and the staff have been so polite, helpful when I couldn't remember the name of something or didn't see something that I've had before and letting me know that it was still available. Also staff helpful when I couldn't read the food board, the girl read it to me so I could decide if I could eat it with my special diet needs. Wonderful place for a short rest or a long one.“

“Love this gem of a place! I almost want to keep it to myself. My favourite item here is the avocado toast which is just $4.50 (one slice of toast, avocado, 1 egg, and feta). It’s so satisfying. The people working here are also warm and welcoming. They mostly service the people working in the area so it can get a bit busy during lunch hours. There is also the city wifi and lots of seating space if you need to get work done. 10/10 recommend.“

“Studio 89 has always been a place of comfort for me. I do miss the old location but the energy and passion has only amplified at this location. This place continues to inspire and remind me of the importance of kindness, humanity and consistent strive for community change. On my most recent visit, I attended a coffee watercolour paint day, where the café repurposed used coffee grinds. This innovative practice caught my attention, as well as placing it near international dog day (also my dogs birthday) allowed me to bring my dog and my parents to participate in accessible outdoor fun for all of us and creating some art to celebrate a fun day. This was just one example of the many ways 89 continues to inspire me and the community at large.“

“It's very clean and nice inside we went at 730 pm, it was quiet and not very busy. The broccoli cheddar soup is good, it taste like any other one but the real star is the sandwiches, I got the new steak sandwich and it was delicious. My husband got the chicken noodle soup he said it wasn't very good.“

“Excellent lunch with our Port Credit based kids at Maranello Cafe Saturday afternoon. A gorgeous day to eat al fresco on the cute little patio behind the Cafe. Among us we shared a range of hot and cold sandwiches - Prosciutto, Mortadella and from the hot side, chicken and Nonna's meatballs. The portions are generous yet reasonably priced. While we had no leftovers, we were all comfortably full.
When I finally went in to settle the bill, the staff member remarked that we seemed to be having such a good visit that they didn't want to make us feel rushed. Such a good experience. I don't regret picking a sandwich over pasta, but I'll be back to try that next.
