La Noodle Clyde Ave 宝升福 offers superb soup dumplings, considered the best in Ottawa. The authentic Shanghai cuisine includes dim sums that are a hidden gem. Customers often enjoy dishes like fried noodles, spicy grilled fish, crab fried rice, and Shanghai Dim Sum. The proprietor provides impressive service, with highlights being the flat noodles and rice cake. The restaurant has wheelchair accessibility and plenty of parking in the strip mall. Recent reviews mention that the Xiaolongbao are very thin, juicy, and filling, making them the most delicious ever eaten. Other Shanghai snacks are also very authentic, and the dishes consistently hit the spot. The owner runs the place alone, so there may be a wait during busy times, and payment is limited to cash or e-transfer. A special dish on the weekend menu is fried eel noodles, which is flavorful with chewy noodles, tender eel, and well-balanced scallion oil. The side dish of shredded bamboo shoots and the soup are also appreciated. Despite some flies in the vinegar bottles, customers enjoy the authentic taste and plan to return, whether dining in or taking out.
