“Absolutely incredible bagels! Make sure you go early or you might miss out! Definitely will be back.
Updating my review: their cinnamon buns are killer too, even cold! (Warm them up though, they probably taste way better that way!)
Halloween 2025 update: blue matcha drink is pretty good, get it today only if you're seeing this ;)

“We have been getting cakes here for years. This year we ordered a cake with a photo on it and it was absolutely amazing! The photo quality was next level and they added sprinkles to match the colours in the photo which was such a nice touch/surprise. My son was so happy with his cake. Always a 10/10.“

“We had our Big Cedar Estates Christmas dinner here on Dec 13th..116 people attended, and thoroughly enjoyed a 3 course turkey dinner. The food was amazing, and the portions were larger than most. We received nothing but compliments, which was good considering the Sinnottes are the new proprietors. They went over and above to make us happy, and we would highly recommend them to anyone. Well done!“
“Great atmosphere, great beers and delicious food. Couchiching craft brewing has a great selection of beers and the food is surprisingly good. Lots of space to sit down and enjoy with larger groups (we were a group of 6) and smaller groups alike. Or maybe just stop by for a pint. Highly reccomend!“

“Well, it’s chick-fil-a, fast food fried chicken. It’s good to try the Canadian version, not bad.
The restaurant was not very busy when we went there, did take a while to get the order. The food was ok. Waffle fries are always great.“

“Perfect spot for a long drive north. They sell burgers and fries and that's pretty much it. The burgers were really tasty and we all liked the fries. Thin fries, but tasty. We were starving so ate before we took pictures.
There was a ton of people, but they work the line and the wait was not too long. Nice to sit on a picnic table on the large property.
There is also a Starbucks and a Baskin Eibbins on the same site.“
“We've stayed at this hotel many times now. Let's admit one thing up front: you're not going here if you're expecting 5 star rooms. The rooms and the furnishings have been around for a while, and they definitely show their age. Expect to see tables with water damage, wardrobes with chips out of the door, window trim that is cracked, etc. Obviously a thorough renovation would be nice, but doing that would also force the rates up beyond what the average person can afford for a quick stop-over in orillia, so file it under the art of the possible and stop acting like the princess with a pea under her mattress!
Now, on the other side, the location and layout are great. Orillia is a lovely little city and this hotel is minutes from absolutely everything. The layout and facilities are awesome. If you book early you can secure one of the nice drive up ground floor rooms with a patio door, and make it real easy to get back and forth from your car. They have a nice pool and most importantly they still have a real hot-tub! In an age where most cheapskate hotels use lame and fake safety excuses as a pretense to cut costs and get rid of this most appreciated feature of going to a hotel, the quality inn orillia still has their hottub going strong.
Finally, the service here is always top notch. These people are friendly, down to earth, and don't give you any BS. Here's an example: we just stayed there last weekend. We actually could have driven all the way home that night, but decided it would be nicer to split it up, and more importantly give us a chance to relax and unwind in their hot tub. I called to book the room and made a point of confirming that the hot tub was good and operational. After check in, we head right down to the pool facility only to find a sign up saying the pool is closed! Turns out some irresponsible parent decided not to watch their kid, and the kid had an accident in the pool, thereby shutting it down and ruining things for everyone. That's unfortunate. Good thing I was only interested in the hot tub though, right? Except that the entire facility was closed down, including the hot tub. I can't tell you how disappointed I was - that hot tub was the only reason we were there! I marched right up to the front desk, ready to have an argument. But the argument didn't happen. You know why? Because the girl at the front desk was so friendly and empathetic, what kind of a monster could argue with her? She texted the manager to see if we could compromise and open just the hot tub, seeing as the accident had only been in the pool. I was sure the manager was going to say no. After all, these days, over-caution and fear of liability have over-ridden any common sense or sense of reasonableness. But I was wrong! The manager gave the OK for us to go ahead and use the hot tub if we wished. How often do you find management that can still be thoughtful and decent? That's the kind of people you get at this hotel, and honestly, if I had to pick between good people and fancy new furniture, I'd go with the people every time.“

“5 STARS PLUS ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️+ The BEST dining out experience in a VERY LONG time !!! Our waiter Mike was incredible 🥰 The service and food was exceptional and before we left we made another reservation. My husband and I are Italian and the food has such deep flavour all made to perfection, everything from the start to the very end (appetizers to dessert) was the BEST ! We both left there so extremely satisfied… experience it yourself - you will NOT be disappointed. It’s our favourite restaurant now, hands down beats any other restaurant in Orillia. Worth every dollar spent there. Can’t wait to go there again ❤️“
