“The food was excellent quality, fresh, tasty & prepared quickly. Adequate staffing for peak periods & they were friendly & had full knowledge of menu items & specials. The dining area was clean & comfortable as well as inviting & spacious. Facilities were average. Plenty of parking available. Been here many times & will definitely return with friends & family. Wheelchair accessibility: Although there appears to be no dedicated wheelchair parking, there is plenty of room in the parking lot to accommodate all types of accommodations for those with mobility issues. Unfortunately the doors are not automatic and do not feature a press button open.“

“This place is classy, elegant, chic. This place is absolutely top tier in every sense. The music, the atmosphere, the food, the service. Came here to celebrate my 6 year anniversary with my wife and we honestly couldn’t have chosen a better place to come to, they even surprised us with a small little happy anniversary dessert. The drinks are top level, the food is absolutely delicious and the hostess/waitress was amazing. Definitely planning to make this our go to for all our special occasions.“

“This restaurant is a gem, especially for weekend brunch. As a local permanent makeup artist with a studio downtown this is my favourite place to grab a full slow-food breakfast before my first client arrives. The table settings are luxury class with white linens and proper settings. The variety and quality of food is excellent. I imagine that travellers staying in the hotel would have an excellent experience. Having tried other hotel restaurants in the downtown core I can say that the Carleton Grill is competing very well.“

“Had a great meal. Elevated smoke meat on rye with fries. Yummy garlic aelio, mayo, and ketchup to dip into. So good and fries were perfect. My wife had the Mediterranean grain rice bowl with parmesan, kale, Arugula and roasted tomatoes. Also delicious. Service was excellent and price was fair. Nice relaxed casual atmosphere. “I have celiac so this is a chain I can have roast chicken and sauce. Roasted chicken without sauce is just not the same. That said it makes for a very empty plate and unfortunately the restaurant is not vey generous with the fries even though they don’t need to provide a bun. As a result, I’m still a little hungry when I leave (not the first time this has happened). A half chicken would be too much food so I wish they would at least provide more in terms of qty for the side dish, in this case fries, with the quarter chicken.

Atmosphere was fine but a portion of the restaurant needs some TLC.

“While staying at the Courtyard by Marriott and seeing good reviews of the Bistro, we came here on the last day for breakfast.The food was overall ok. The flatbread was especially great. The burrito was a bit tough (the tortilla was a bit over toasted/grilled).In the photos I’m also showing the normal French toast vs. the kids menu French toast.The service was great. Staff was friendly.The restaurant is open concept located on the ground floor adjacent to the hotel seating area.Overall a good choice for breakfast.
