“This restaurant is a gem, especially for weekend brunch. As a local permanent makeup artist with a studio downtown this is my favourite place to grab a full slow-food breakfast before my first client arrives. The table settings are luxury class with white linens and proper settings. The variety and quality of food is excellent. I imagine that travellers staying in the hotel would have an excellent experience. Having tried other hotel restaurants in the downtown core I can say that the Carleton Grill is competing very well.“

“There's not much else close by if you are at this hotel complex and it's quite good, The place is a little beat up and every seat in our booth had a visible stain on it, so they are probably due for a refresh. No big deal, food was good, portions maybe a little small. Service was excellent.“

“I had the pleasure of dining at East Side Mario’s last night, and I must say, everything exceeded my expectations. From the warm atmosphere to the delicious food, it was an all-around wonderful evening. What really stood out to me was the exceptional service — particularly from the manager. He was incredibly professional, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. He made sure everything was perfect at our table and checked in to ensure we were enjoying our meal. It’s rare to see that level of care and hospitality, and it made a big difference. The staff overall were friendly and efficient, the food came out hot and fresh, and the environment was clean and comfortable. I truly felt valued as a guest. Highly recommend this location if you’re looking for great Italian-inspired food and top-notch service. Big thanks to the manager and team for making our dinner so enjoyable!“

“Our 12-year old was incepted by ads on YouTube and asked for chicken parm from East Side Mario’s. We had not been to the chain in over a decade and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity.

The chicken parm came as a massive double cutlet portion, fresh and crispy, with a side of spaghetti. We also ordered the meatball sandwich, also tasty. Madison was a great server and stayed very attentive to our table through the whole visit.

Will not wait another decade before coming back :)“

“I've been coming here for the past 3 weeks for the Monday chicken and ribs combo and it has yet to disappoint. The quality of the chicken and ribs served to me really highlighted the importance that the staff gives to their meat. And don't get me started on the fries and gravy, they were out of this world (as in good). I will definitely be back next week and the week after to experience the experience again. I also want to add the amazing energy our server braught to our experience. Riley really knows how to my dinner memorable and I will for sure be requesting to get served by her everything I come here from now on.“

“I popped into Smokeys on a whim and glad that I did. I had the smoked meat sandwhich and it was one of the best tasting I've had. The meat was well seasoned, flavorful, moist and enjoyable to eat. I also ordered a side of the coleslaw and again I was very impreased. It was creamy without being watery, had good crunch and the flavour was superb.

Every visit was consistently amazing. We tried the steak sandwich, steak bites, French Onion soup, burgers, and the fish and chips (which were amazing). Everything was fresh, delicious, and exactly what we needed after long days at the rink. But the absolute highlight of our experience was Leslie. She is truly one of the best servers we’ve ever had—so warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. By the end of our week, we felt like we had made a new friend. Getting to know her was such a treat, and she made each visit even more special. Amazing food, incredible service, and an experience that kept us coming back night after night. “I was here from Hamilton staying at the Hotel 6.9-6.11. All three cooks here very fast and they hustle to make sure you are satisfied. I was especially impressed with Rob who treated all tourists with respect and accomodated their Vegan needs. He made special accomodations for them. Side street parking is closeby and the place is very safe and clean. Food is fresh . Locals must pop in . I wish we had this place in Hamilton with a nice chill atmosphere. No rushed feeling to leave. Thanks !“

“Our family really loves the Carlingwood Harvey's, and it has become a regular part of our week. Everytime we arrive we greeted with a warm smile from Christina, who knows are order. Let's face it Harvey's burgers are the best! Why would I want to pay an extra $1 at Burger King's for an extra tomato while Harvey's set you with the topping the way you like it! This is great location; I'm sure you will love it too!“

HO response was quick + follow-ups with Jaclyn Real Person! At 216 their Manager Rassi & Server Omar knew my name as we came in to enjoy HO make-good my suggestion of a complimentary veg burger & fave Strawberry Handspun Shake. Success with Harvey's app would have earned me points & loyalty benefits.

Maybe my old MS 7 vs newer MS10 caused missed menu items or my wrong entries on the app. More care might earn points to earn benefits like Burger Boss for $3 first one. I avoid buying anything American, use mainly Harvey's, Cdn A&W & local meals in tRump years. With reliable American Google OS! :) No McDs, Burger King, Dairy Queen or Starbucks. For takeout, I'd use Winnipeg's SKIP, not US DoorDash.“

“I really enjoyed my green curry bowl and a hoppy pint. A curry dish is one I don't often reach for, but I went on the recommendation of the server. I really enjoyed it and I definitely recommend it to others. It's not spicy and it was filling for lunch.“

“I love, love, love this place! To me Gabriel Pizza has the very best pizza in Ottawa and their spaghetti sauce is the very best sauce around as well and their pasta is always perfectly cooked! We order either pizza, spaghetti, or lasagna from this location at least once a week and the food is consistently delicious; we always use their delivery services, and the food always arrives hot and well within the Estimated Delivery Time. Next time you crave pizza or a delicious spaghetti or lasagna with meat sauce, turn to Gabriel Pizza for great taste and use this location for friendly, quick and accurate delivery!! Enjoy!!!“

“We used to dine at Harveys's for years and we like the food and the way they make the burger.

This time the experience was really bad with the worker who took out order and prepared the burgers. This employee is 3036 as shown on my receipt.
This employee was rude and angry when he was asking us what to put in our burgers. When we told him to put some of everything,he got irritated and only put few things and started throwing the bread over the burger in anger. We always ordered our burgers this way over the years and never had this bad experience. We were astonished from this treatment. Then he trip to do the same with the 2nd burger, claiming he doesn't know what everything means and behaved angry again.

We won't be visiting that location again and probably not Harveys in the near future for this treatment.

The store manager contacted us to rectify this. He invited us to the store again and it was much better at this second visit. I've upgraded my review for the good experience.“
