“Tried Chez Wally’s for the first time recently and honestly I get the hype now. The food was incredible and way better than I expected.
Everything tasted fresh, packed with flavour, and you can tell they actually care about the quality of what they’re serving. Portions were great too. The whole experience felt super welcoming and the staff were really friendly from the moment I walked up.
You can tell why people keep recommending this spot. Definitely won’t be my last visit and I’m already looking forward to trying more off the menu next time!!!🙏🏽“

“Poutine XL, pogo maison et rondelle d’ognion. Très satisfaite coté qualité prix, excellente Poutine, frite bien cuite et fromage en bonne quantité, sauce vraiment bonne. Le pogo étais excellent, une petit touche maison ces évident la pate est vraiment bonne, rondelle d’ognion il En avais beaucoup, elle son très mince et la friture colle parfaitement au ognion ce qui est rare dans les autres casse-croute. La fille à la réception étais vraiment gentille, que du bon à dire de ce casse-croute !“

“This local watering hole is getting more and more popular because of the bands they’ve been booking lately.
I was there on Thursday evening to see Travelling South, a local southern rock band. Their set started at 6:30 so I decided to grab a bite.
It was so crowded I thought my food would take forever to arrive, but it was lightning fast! I bit into my chicken club wrap and I was surprised that the sandwich was served ice cold and with the driest, overcooked chicken I have had in recent times. It’s a good thing I had a Sunbrew to wash it down.
The wait staff was amazing and kind. Had I complained about the sandwich I’m sure I could have had something else, however I was starving so just ate the sandwich but wished I’d ordered something different.
My friend’s chicken wings looked very tempting and they had no complaints.“

“The poutine is pretty decent, the BBQ sauce is good, but the cheese curds weren't squishy and melted quite a bit. The service is ok, but nothing more. The interior of the restaurant no longer has benches for eating on site and needs a little love. Value for money is still very good and perfect for a quick dinner.“

“Since moving to Aylmer in 2020 we have always found that once a month we usually find ourselves ordering from here. The poutine is fantastic at almost every occasion with one or two times that were lesser than usual. Just like everywhere I have worked and eaten there are off days, just bring it up and try again another day.“

“This restaurant feels like the healthiest food in fast food. The signature sauce is great and really spicy. Can you tell me which peppers are used?
I've been a long time client and I have two small points/suggestion;
1. I understand you control food waste and costs by not having soy protein ready, it's my favorite protein, but you heat it in the microwave in a plastic containerand that is not very good for health reasons. Could you use a glass container instead?
2. I saw an employee cleant the place with a broom, and the dust was going up in the air, it was even worst when doing the entrance carpet, not very hygienic.“

“I’m from Toronto and I was visiting Gatineau when I decided to stop by Pizza Hut on Portage. I was honestly very impressed by the experience. The restaurant was clean, the staff were friendly and professional, and the service was quick even though it seemed busy.
The food was fresh, hot, and prepared exactly the way I wanted. You can tell the team works hard to keep the quality high and make customers feel welcome. It’s not always easy to find a place that is both fast and consistent, but this location definitely stands out.
If I come back to Gatineau, I will definitely visit again. Great job to the whole team!“
“I ordered a large veggie pizza from Pizza Hut, and overall, it was satisfying. The crust was perfectly baked—crispy on the outside but soft and chewy inside. The cheese was nicely melted and had a good stretch. The toppings were fresh and well-distributed, with a good amount of veggies on each slice. Overall, it was hot, tasty, and a good value for the price.“

“Visited this A&W and overall it was decent. The mozza burger was tasty and well done, but the fries came out cold, which was disappointing even if they were still edible. I also didn’t like the onion ring the texture and flavor just weren’t great.
On the positive side, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and they serve breakfast all day long except for one item, which is convenient. There’s a drive‑thru, but the restaurant itself is quite small, so seating can feel limited. There is an outside seating as well.
Not a bad stop, but definitely room for improvement.“

“Man I just want to say - good or bad - every experience I have at A&W always has me leaving with a smile. I had placed my order on the app for the first time and I’m an anglophone in Quebec so I’m a bit shy. I hadn’t specified what I wanted in my coffee and even though they offered to add something: I refused because I have a concussion and I’m having difficulty speaking French right now. I took my black coffee and they had accidentally forgot the bacon on my sandwiches. The thing is; any other fast food chain would have resolved this with less grace or patience. I went back to the counter and abra kadabra; they were SO polite. They offered me new sandwiches but I didn’t want to be wasteful and they didn’t mind adding it to the sandwiches. Then by some miracle the girl at the cash READ MY MIND and offered to add cream and sugar to my coffee AGAIN - because she knew I was being shy.
It’s moments like this that affirm my belief that for the extra dollar I pay every time I eat at A&W (compared to other chains) - it’s worth so much more than a dollar because I’m incentivizing quality food and service. Standards like this are why I always go to A&W.
They put other chains to shame by training staff properly, and hiring based on character.“

“Yesterday I was helped by a tall guy with long hair in a ponytail, and honestly he gave one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had in a while. Super polite, positive attitude, fast at his job, and he made the whole experience feel welcoming and easy. You can tell he genuinely cares about customers and works hard while keeping great vibes.
The food was also really fresh and tasty, everything came out quickly and the restaurant felt clean and well organized. Overall a really great experience. Employees like that truly make a difference, and I’ll definitely be coming back.“

“When I walked in, I was behind a group of 8 young men and expected the wait to be quite long. To my surprise, it went extremely fast. The team of young men working the counter is very efficient, organized, courteous and make a perfect sub. I swore off Subway after horrible wait times in the Plateau... But Aylmer is certainly not the same. Good job guys!!“

“We’ve been to this Subway location a couple of times now, and honestly, we keep coming back mainly because of one amazing employee — Stephanie. From the very first visit, she left such a positive impression on us with her kindness, warmth, and incredible customer service. She’s always so friendly, welcoming, and just genuinely nice to talk to. It’s rare these days to come across someone who truly seems to enjoy their job and takes the time to make each customer feel valued — but Stephanie does exactly that, every single time.
It might sound funny to some, but we actually choose to come to this specific Subway location because of her. There are other Subways closer to where we live, but none that offer the same level of service and positive energy that Stephanie brings. She makes something as simple as grabbing a sub feel like a personalized and pleasant experience.
You can tell she puts care and effort into what she does — from how she prepares the food to how she interacts with every customer. It’s people like her who make all the difference in a business, and we just wanted to take a moment to say how much we appreciate her. She deserves recognition for the amazing job she does. Malgré une commande placée 30 minutes avant la fermeture, le système l'a planifié pour le lendemain matin. Nous avons appelé et le gérant de plancher nous a fait notre commande sur place 3 minutes avant la fermeture. Service exceptionnel, la nourriture était chaude et abondante.“
