“Absolutely delicious sweet and savory treats. I have so many food allergies but I can safely eat the food from this bakery. i appreciate the plant based options too. I love the oat fudge bars, vanilla cakes/cupcakes, chocolate cakes/cupcakes, custom cakes, both types of quiche, the scones, brownies, spiced chocolate bar, lattes, drip coffee, cookies...geeze I guess I go there a lot. I haven't even tried everything in the bakery yet. It is a wonderful for breakfast, midday treat and dessert after dinner. I stock up on Sunday to have enough to last me until Thursday morning when the bakery reopens for the week. I am having a very hard time sticking to just one item a day. It is great for school lunch treats because it is a nut free bakery. This is important for school staff and students.“

“I went in on a whim looking for something specific. I was told they could make it fresh for me if I came back the next day. They were so accommodating and so friendly. I went the next day and there was not had my order as promised. I picked up a meal to go with it. Lots of food and the price was reasonable. I will definitely be going back.“

From cake pops to 8 inch cakes and even 2 tier cakes - always flavourful (carrot cake and vanilla my favorites). There is no design they can't replicate to the fullest. “Richmond Hill Deli - who knew what treasures lay within? While in the neighbourhood one Saturday morning, my curiosity was piqued by the outdoor pictures of culinary delights, outlined in red, declaring: "Healthy and Tasty", "Homemade with Love". Once inside, I was greeted with a panorama of products from Eastern Europe and Central Asia - including my favourites:

• Plov (Uzbek-style rice pilaf),
• Samsa (Uzbek samosas with beef/lamb filling),
• Khachapuri (Georgian cheese-filled "pizza"),
• Pelmeni (Russian meat dumplings of various fillings - I like the turkey and lamb pelmeni),
• Lülə Kebabs (minced meat kebabs from South Kavkaz),
• Kefir/Ryazhenka (similar to yougurts),
• various Mineral Waters,
... and the list goes on.

I had the good fortune to meet the owner, Alik, who welcomed me to his store as if to his own table. The staff at the hot food counter were warm and hospitable. To experience the world of Eastern European and Central Asian delicacies, this is the place to come to.

The only thing missing was my most favourite item of all - Chebureki (deep-fried turnovers of Crimean Tatar origin), ideally the lamb-filled variety, but the spinach/cheese ones are okay too. If Richmond Hill Deli could stock these, my joy would be complete.

As the can of Uzbek Plov said on its label: "Вкусно - нет слов" ("Tasty - no words".)

Early this morning, a very dear friend of mine surprised me with the most delicious pistachio birthday cake from Yazdi Bakery. It was incredibly soft, flavorful, and absolutely perfect ,the kind of cake that instantly lifts your spirits.

I’ve loved Yazdi Bakery for years. Even back when I lived in King City, I used to come here, and it makes me happy to see how many fans they have in the neighborhood. Their quality has always been consistent, and their flavors are truly something special.

This cake meant so much to me not just because it tasted amazing, but because my friend chose a place she knew I adored. It was the sweetest birthday surprise and exactly what I needed.
