“A nice, small spot tucked away in a food court near Yonge-Sheppard. They serve desserts, sandwiches, and some interesting beverages that I have yet to try. I'm definitely coming back for the drinks, but I would highly recommend the flavoured creme brulees. I got the earl grey and matcha creme brulees to share with a friend. The sugar on top was nice and caramelized, and the bitter matcha really came through in the creme brulee. Seating is likely going to be limited should you come here during the day, but the shopping centre Soul Made is located at is fairly quiet and empty in the evenings.“

“Super fluffy and soft, made very fresh and if you buy 6 there is no tax :) got the savoury pizza buns, Japanese curry buns, spicy chicken bun and hot dog bun. Loved it! We intended on saving a few of them but may or may not have eaten the majority of our buns in one sitting because of how delicious they were 😂“

“The baklava is nice and super flaky which is sort of rare nowadays. Ingredients seemed high quality and fresh. If the bottom piece of the baklava was a touch less sweet, it would be perfect. The trilece was delicious, had balanced sweetness and the glazed top layer was amazing. It had an interesting and slightly different taste that you dont encounter often (in a good way). Guy that runs it is super nice and personable. Dont expect super low prices though, these pastries are quality. Would return 100%.“

“I recently had to organize a last-minute 18th birthday party for my son and needed a cake to serve 40 people. I was in a bit of a panic until a friend recommended Denj. I visited their shop and was warmly welcomed with a coffee and offered a sample of their cakes. The taste was amazing, and I knew I had found the perfect cake for the occasion. True to their word, Denj delivered the cake to my house on the day of the party, and it was an absolute showstopper! The style and taste were beyond expectations, and my guests were equally impressed. It’s so important to support local businesses, and I’m thrilled to have found such a gem in Denj. “A hidden gem in the plaza beside Longos. I ordered a custom cake and called Julia twice with some specific requests. She truly delivered and did a FANTASTIC job!! The price was also extremely reasonable - a tall 8” cake topped with four macarons came up to $55. It was moist, decadent, and not too sweet. If I was to be very picky, I would request the hazelnut in the buttercream to be crushed into smaller pieces and caution the pistachio and mocha flavours in the macarons were not prominent. Still, a solid 5/5 and I will order here again. Thank you for the special cake for a special person :)“

“Great selection of desserts to choose from! I ended up getting the Violetta tart and the Black Sesame Tofu Cheesecake.

Violetta: A purple sweet potato tart that is one of their most popular desserts here. Despite its small size, this was quite filling and dense on the inside. Strong flavours but not too sweet.

Tofu Cheesecake: I wasn't intending to get this but ended up loving it so much! The texture was amazing, very soft. The black sesame was a great flavour. I've had tofu cheesecakes before but this was certainly one of the best ones I've had.

Overall, totally worth visiting. The sit-down environment was a great casual space with a self-serve water station. I would totally come back again if I'm in the area. If you want to pay with credit card you will have to spend a minimum of $10.“

“Savorology is a delightful spot with some of the best treats I’ve had in a while! The chestnut gelato daifuku was absolutely fantastic, so creamy and flavorful, with that perfect chewy mochi texture around it. It’s a must-try if you’re a fan of chestnut or unique desserts!

They also offer a mochi cake, which was a hit as well. It had the perfect balance of sweetness and chewiness, making it hard to stop at just one slice. My kids enjoyed it too, and I can see us coming back often as a family.

“I ordered a birthday cake here the first time. I expected the writings will be placed on top of the retangular cake. There are lots of empty spaces... why they put the writing on a very tiny piece of chocolate and put it at the side of the bottom. It was hardly to see what was in the writing. For what occasion and for who! Quite disappointed! And they charged me a price of $17 more according to their listed price of $65 for a 8"x12" cake. Plus an extra of $20 for the pair of baby shoes (a plastic toy) for decoration. I also tried their bread, also find the textures are hard to chew... I wont return again.“

Took my nieces to Menchie's for a treat, and as always, it didn’t disappoint. I’ve been a fan of this place since my high school days, and I’m happy to say that the quality has stayed consistent over the years. The location is clean, well-maintained, and continues to be a fun spot to enjoy some frozen yogurt with family. One of the things I appreciate most is the variety of flavours and toppings available, which makes it easy to customize your dessert just the way you like it.

When it comes to frozen yogurt, Menchie’s offers a great selection of flavours, but my all-time favourite is definitely the Oreo. It’s rich, creamy, and pairs perfectly with a wide array of toppings. Speaking of toppings, the selection here is impressive. Whether you’re into fresh fruit, candy, or nuts, there’s something for everyone. My nieces had a blast choosing their own combinations, and it’s always fun to see their creative concoctions. However, a word of caution—make sure to pace yourself while enjoying the frozen yogurt, as it’s all too easy to get a brain freeze if you dive in too quickly (especially when it’s as tasty as it is here).

Menchie’s also has a self-serve setup, which adds to the fun of creating your own dessert. You can choose exactly how much yogurt you want, and add as many toppings as you like. It’s great for both kids and adults who enjoy being a bit creative with their food. However, one small downside is that the chairs in the seating area aren’t particularly child-friendly. They’re a bit wobbly and not ideal for younger kids, so if you’re coming with little ones, you’ll need to keep an eye on them while they’re seated. It’s a minor issue, but something to be aware of if you’re visiting with children.

Overall, my experience at Menchie’s was enjoyable, as it usually is. It’s a reliable spot for a sweet treat, and I’m glad this location is still around after all these years. Whether you’re looking for a place to take the kids or just want to indulge in some frozen yogurt yourself, Menchie’s is a great option. Just be cautious if you’re bringing younger children due to the seating, but other than that, it’s a fun and delicious spot to visit.
