“First time back to this Ramen restaurant (today Dec 22, 2024) after a few years haven't been there and their Ramen is still one of my favorites north of Toronto. We were there for lunch and they have the special deal for $11/$12 (can't remember exactly) and the regular bow is around $15 which is really a good value for a large bow comparing to other Ramen restaurants. Overall the ramen is very good and served with several topping such as corn, bamboo, egg, and the meat choice. You can't beat the good food, big portion, and all at a great price especially now with no tax.“

“Midori is always one of my favourite place to go for savoury ramen. I had the Hitori combo that you can pick one of the signature ramen which comes with chicken gyoza and a pop. I picked the black garlic ramen for the combo. If you are not a garlic fanatic, I will suggest pick other choices. The soup is very rich and velvety. The cha siu is a bit thin though but the chicken is nice and tender. I always like their soup as there’s no msg. The chicken gyoza is crispy and juicy. I will try the Truffle ramen next time.“

“We’ve been to Ramen Yutaka every two months or so and we’ve never been disappointed. On the contrary, the food is always amazing and full of flavours. Their ramen is the best we’ve ever had. Tried the beef tapas tonight and it was so good.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Issai, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who loves ramen, udon, and rice dishes! From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home.
The service was exceptionally friendly.“

“Such accommodating and eager staff. The smiles alone really warmed me up; but not as much as the yummy bowls! Original Chicken Ramen was sooo good, and hubby had the Beef Shoyu Ramen throughout which he was DEFINITELY making yummy noises. Had my eye on different bowls, sides and dessert... Had no room though (too much popcorn prior at the movies) so will just have to come again ... 😁“

“This place is incredible. Good food, fair price. My family and I love going there any day.
Parking: Parking is in a super large plaza/mall.
Kid-friendliness: Children are well received and most of the time they receive drawings to color while they wait for their orders.“

“No actual physical menu for elderly to place order is an inconvenience.
Have to review menu online scanning qr code, then placing order with waiters
...
If allowing qr code ordering would be even better.“

“Great food & service, our server was great, some arrogant man at the table next to us was being a jrkoff & first complained about his table, then added 200 modifications to his order, then complained it was missing, then yapped loudly about how he wasnt tipping as a result. So I made sure to tip on his behalf. Treat restaurant staff with courtesy! This place is great and the next person I hear being unreasonable to a staff member is getting a bowl of ramen (thick noodles, add corn + extra garlic) chucked at their head!“

“Probably the best ramen place I’ve been to so far. Their spicy ramen is actually spicy. The staff is so sweet and polite. The restaurant in general is very clean. Been back 4 times since my first visit.
Vegetarian options: Don’t remember what vegetarian options they had, but I do remember seeing an option.“

“My family and I always go to this and their Kennedy location.
Service is always quick and friendly.
Food quality is always consistent.
We always order the tender pork ramen and the steak ramen. Soooo good especially in the cold winter months.“

“We ordered the tonkotsu black ramen, tomato ramen, and fried chicken appetizer. The tonkotsu black ramen was very delicious, but the tomato ramen was not as good. My companion regretted their decision to try something new instead of ordering the same item as me. The fried chicken was good too.“

“Best beef gyudon I’ve ever had. There were lots of tables when I visited and service is okay. However, my gyudon rice was overcooked (hard). This was not my expectation most especially it’s a Japanese restaurant which is known for such a good quality and soft rice. I personally really hate the texture of overcooked/hard rice.
With this, I really had to take extra time to remove all the overcooked rice before I take a bite.“

“Very hard working owner and staff! Very polite and super smiley! Good quality service all the way until closing!
Wish I took a photo of our meal sets as the presentation was super cute and well done- but I was too excited and ate it all before I could snap one!
Would definitely recommend if you are in the Markham area!“

“This ramen shop is in a highly competitive area! I know what I am getting whenever to go to Kinton Ramen. So this place more than satisfied my tastebuds. I sortta would have told them to hold off the dressing on my dumplings. But other than that all is good in Ramen world.“

“Food is good and consistent.
Service is a bit slow.
Biggest issue is portion size. Paying for extra noodles is literally 1 bite... I'm not exaggerating. If you get 2 extra orders of noodles, it brings the bowl of noodles to over $20.... and still not full.
You need to seriously consider fixing this if you want to attract more customers and have more regulars.
I remember watching an interview with the owner of izakaya ju years ago and he said "I keep my prices low so customers can come everyday and won't feel like it's a special occasion"
If you're paying 25 bucks for a bowl of ramen... feels like a luxury compared to other options.
I'm good if you want to charge more... but make sure you actually feed me.“

“Menkatsu is a lot better than your usual food court katsu restaurants. The breading was very airy yet super crunchy, and the side salad and corn were delicious. I low-key wish they would allow for rice refill like some other katsu shops though…“
