“These guys are great! I ordered a clubhouse to be delivered. When it arrived I realized it was with sliced turkey (they have turkey or chicken). I hadnt read thr menu so I called a little heated and was a bit of a jerk, which wasnt fair, was my fault but evenso they sent the delivery driver back out with a chicken club for me free of charge! Very patient and polite! The chicken club by the way...DELISH! Also the gravy and battered fries, very good!“

“As a pizza maker myself, I can tell you this is very authentic. The fermentation on the door is perfect. The thickness is perfect. The level of toppings and the cook is perfect as well. This Dean definitely knows what they’re doing and there’s a lot of flavor, choice and options and the size of one full pizza is quite substantial.“

“Been at all their locations, sometimes as part of a 10-person foodie group, trying to "test" this chain versus the "cannot be beaten" Fire Pizza before the owners became absentees. Generally, Uncle's pizza has better ingredients than others, e.g. Freshslice which is just about on every other block. The one on Broadway has consistently better ingredients. Other locations vary in ingredients. The Uncle's at Richmond skytrain has no nearby parking on a strip mall, but it had the best Qi according to a digital fengshui e-compass. This location is popular with Asian clientele despite the Asian eateries next door. The staff in Richmond is very hospitable and the layout is Feng Shui positive. Good job!“

We finished off the night with a Tiramisu, and it didn't dissappoint. We will definitely be back. The pizza was excellent. It struck a wonderful balance between traditional Italian pizza and American-style pizza—fresh, simple ingredients with a crust and overall presentation that was both satisfying and approachable. It was one of the better Margherita pizzas we’ve had.

The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, making it a great place to unwind for a casual meal or snack. One detail I particularly appreciated was that they served water without ice, which felt more in line with the Italian dining experience. I usually have to request no ice, so it was a pleasant surprise.

“Decent tasting fare for a pizza by-the-slice counter located in Metrotown foodcourt. At least six different variety of pizzas to choose from, including vegetarian. We had tried the butter chicken and vegetarian and found both delicious. Our slices were of a good size, loaded with ingredients. Our slice+drink combo seem good value for money. Service was fast and friendly. Metrotown foodcourt seating is plenty, spacious, bright and clean.“

“I was gassing up before getting on the ferry and I asked the local chap at the gas station if you could recommend any nearby pizza places. He told me to go try madhouse pizza on 12th Ave., highly recommended by him. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door, I was informed of the many choices and ended up with a personal supreme meet Pizza. I am now enjoying it in the lineup to Nanaimo. “This review is about this Abbott Street location. In particular about the people who work here. I've lived in Vancouver for 20 years and I've never seen exemplary customer service than I've consistently received from a young gentleman called Shubhh.

If you're a regular, you know exactly who I mean. He always greets you by name with a pleasant smile, remembers your orders, goes above and beyond in accommodating your preferences. He still asks for my mother's health, who was visiting me about two years ago and was poorly.

In a world that's inherently transactional, and at late night pizza place at that, Shubhh somehow is an example of how to bring humanity to a very ordinary exchange. Getting late night pizza, while occasionally inebriated.

Anyway, pizza is pizza, and Uncle Fatih's is decent and consistent. Honestly, better quality toppings than you'll find in similar establishments open late.

While pizza is pizza, good and kind human beings are rare. And so this is both for readers of this review, and for employers of Shubhh.
