“We haven’t been to the Globe since 2018. Back then, I would have given a 4.5 out of 5 rating. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the ambiance. Now that it's reopened for Dinners, we were anxious to try it again, but we were surprised with the number of low ratings. I'm glad we ignored them. The service was excellent. Very prompt and courteous. As there were four of us, we had an opportunity to try several different dishes. The daily soup and the onion soup were very good. The bread and butter starter was also very good. There were three different types of butter, which were hard, but that's the nature of this type of butter. All were very tasty. Two of us had the peppercorn steak, both of which were perfectly cooked. The blackened wallaye was excellent. Nicely proportioned and not overcooked to the point it was dry. The steak pasta was also great. The homemade pasta was perfectly cooked, as was the steak. All of us thought the food was very tasty and well proportioned. The prices were typical for a place of this nature, certainly not expensive for the mid-high end food selection available. The place has been renovated since our last visit. The old small rooms farmhouse feel is gone, but we all thought they did a great job of maintaining the original woodwork in the frames, windows and floors as well as the old fireplace, while opening up the space. All in all, it was a great experience, and we'll definitely be back.“

“My wife , son and I popped in for a bite. We are in town for a hockey tournament and wanted something “homemade” , comfort food. We were not disappointed! Fantastic food , fantastic atmosphere and fantastic service and staff. We were speaking with, I’m assuming the owner , and what a wonderful charismatic lady. We had a lovely chat about our mutual love of Bruce Springsteen and she made us very envious of her stories and pictures. I would drive out of my way to stop in and eat here again! 6 out of 5 star restaurant ! Thanks Williams !“

“Wow! We found a great pub, Peters Cellars, at the inn. Downstairs in of course. Room for about 20 to 25 people , so cozy is the word. My wife and I enjoyed the beef tacos - great food, terrific presentation and service. There were few people at 8 PM when we arrived, so quite intimate. Fully recommend. And the dessert menu is great too.“
