Chicken Shops in Scarborough, ON

“Took 20 minutes from time we put in our order to when we got our food and we were the only table when we came in.

The chicken was delicious, crispy but juicy on the inside.

There are maybe a total of 7 tables in the restaurant so it is not good for big groups.

I found the restaurant to be stuffy and there were a lot of flies.. was not impressed.

Unsure if I would come again but I would be open to doing take out.“

“The resto is actually big enough to fit large parties!

Came w/ a large group of friends after a saturday badminton session.

You have to kinda enter from a sketchy back entrance. The server wasn't the friendliest but she was prompt when we needed her which was good.

The portion sizes are nice and big. They have pork bone soup which uses the traditional spine of the pig but they also have pork and pork ribs soup (which they're always sold out of .... sad face). You can get your gamjatang w/ noodles though which is cool.

I liked the flavour of the supreme chicken but it's a shame that the chicken wasn't that crispy. I say this with all honesty. The chicken was slightly overcooked because while the meat wasn't dry, it certainly wasn't juicy either. The taste was on point though.

4 stars overall (5 if the chicken had been crispy).

“This place is Awesome! The chicken is so fresh and delicious. The coating on the wedges makes my mouth water. The customer service and attention to detail from the owner and his employees is second to none. If you haven't been here you're missing out.“

“The fried chicken was crispy and fried fresh. There was a wide variety of flavours, like soy garlic and honey garlic. The rice cakes were also really soft and well seasoned. The price is a bit expensive for a filling meal split between friends.“

“We got the spicy garlic parm and the 6ix special. I would say the wings are fresh and it came out really nice. I like spicy and creamy wings and prefer the spicy garlic parm. 6ix special was ok but not something I would order again.

I would definitely come back and try something similar to the spicy gar parm!“

“One of my favourite korean fried chicken places! My fav favours are honey avocado and spicy creamy garlic. I love how fresh, juicy and flavourful they are.

I love the cash discount! I dislike how theres limited seats for dine in so its mainly takeout only.“

“Everything was going well until I got mayo in my burger which I asked to remove. You may want to double check the bottom of the burger because I somehow missed the mayo hidden under.

The chicken was juicy and flavourful.

They remade the burger for me. The male cashier was apologetic and kept apologizing.

“I ordered a fried chicken family meal at this place. Overall, I would say my experience was good.

Pros:
Large portion sizes, affordable prices, excellent customer service; food was made-to-order so it was fresh and hot. Chicken meat was not overcooked or undercooked so it was still very juicy.

Cons:
The seasoning didn't really suit my palate, but that is a subjective thing. Maybe I would prefer other dishes instead.
The parking in that plaza is very crowded, but there are other plazas nearby.“

This store can get super busy. Managers always tell me to order ahead and avoid wait time

The manager on shift October 7th on night shift was fantastic … skip the dishes fudged my order so I called the restaurant and he didn’t have to help me but he went above and beyond and fixed my order perfectly .. hands down best Mary Brown’s in the city. That man is a breath of fresh air and the lady in the kitchen was wonderful as well. Super happy customer here.“

“I had food here today for the first time, and I’ve got to say the food was amazing. Unlike other KFC’s and their food being sometimes soggy, the food here was perfect. Other than that, the service was amazing, staff were super nice and caring! A must go!“

There was a Sikh gentleman that took our order (Feb 2025) and he was amazing. I wish I got his name, but that was the best service I've received from Popeyes or most places for that matter.“

“I've been ordering since last year and I probably have 100+ orders through uber eats (the staff probably knows me very well at this point lol), and I've never been disappointed once.

I've tried other mary brown locations (nothing wrong with the other locations) but this location is the most consistent when it comes to taste and order instructions.

I love this location so much that I want to open a franchise, 10/10. Please make sure the staff are well compensated and happy.“

“I'm not sure why they have so many 1 star reviews, I ordered from here for the first time and I was not disappointed, I got the tandoori grilled chicken burger which was cooked perfectly and it was spicy and delicious! I also got the chicken nuggets meal and again the chicken was cooked perfectly and it was moist not dry. I also got the waffle Zinger combo which was also delicious! And the fish sandwich was yummy!! the masala fries were tasty slightly on the salty side but had a nice flavor. I would definitely recommend checking this spot out.“
