I ordered their “Everyday Special “- A large breast, a drumstick, fries and a fountain drink for the price of…wait for it…$6.19. You can get regular or spicy too. Took it home and the chicken was exactly the way I like it, crispy and cooked just right. How can you lose at that price.“

“I had Simba's during Ramadan this year, I haven't realized that I should post a review, so here I am. This is, without a doubt, the BEST chicken spot I have ever tried. I went there with my 4 cousins and we all were in love with it, I never knew chicken could be THAT good! We got 2 Ramadan specials and a combo meal, The Ramadan special was amazing, the fried chicken sandwich, the smash burger, the tenders, and the fries were all so good. There's not one thing I disliked about Simba's. Keep up the amazing work, I hope to be back soon!“

Asian pizza sauce tends to be sweeter than traditional pizza sauce. Korean taste usually is more sweeter as well.

We got half and half pizza (bulgogi + shrimbul). Bulgogi was sweet and tasty. Lots of meat and cheese on it. Shrimpbul had lots of shrimp (tails on though!), bulgogi and lots of toppings. I liked shrimpbul more than m bulgogi.
Pizza is huge! 13 inches wide.

“We visited this restaurant during pride and I was really surprised to see that this place wasn't busy like a lot of the other ones nearby because we had a great experience here!

We tried the boneless chicken (supreme and cheesling flavors), rose tteokbokki, and corn cheese. The fried chicken was definitely the standout, perfectly crispy and moist on the inside. We would definitely recommend choosing the supreme as one of your flavors. The tteokbokki was also delicious. The cheese corn was okay; I would say I've had better at other Korean restaurants.

Our server was super fun and lively. She greeted us as soon as we walked in and made sure to clearly explain how everything in the restaurant worked (you order through tablets). The ambience isn't really anything fancy, but that's not something I really care about.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back for the chicken.“

“I've been coming here for years and I've never been disappointed. The chicken is the best I've ever had and so are the cajun fries. I went back last Friday and the service from the two girls who helped my group was top notch!

They aren't lying about their spice levels, so be aware of that. Prices are reflected in the portions.

“This franchise has changed but still the same friendly owners. They really are everyone’s mom that’s trying to feed you good food and good vibes.

That alone is a great reason to visit but the food is really good too.

The menu now focuses on kalguksu and mandu (flavourful Korean noodle soups and dumplings, respectively). If you’re up town/ in the Scarborough area this is a great option for kalguksu.

All their food is really full of soul and flavour.

Definitely worth a visit. I’m sure I’ll be visiting them a lot in the future.“

“Tried BBQ Chicken and it definitely lived up to the hype. The chicken was super crispy on the outside but still really juicy inside. You can tell it’s made fresh because the texture and flavor were on point. The sauce was perfectly balanced — sweet, savory, and just the right amount of kick.

The portions were generous and everything tasted really high quality. If you like Korean fried chicken, this place is a must-try. I come here all the time and it never disappoints. The owner is really kind and always smiling🔥😊“

“After a stressful week, my partner and I walked in without expecting much from a fast food restaurant, but Aidan completely turned our day around.

From the moment we walked in, he welcomed us with genuine warmth and enthusiasm. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the entire menu, patiently walking us through the different options, answering all of our questions with confidence, and helping us decide without making us feel rushed. You could tell he actually knew the products and cared about making sure we had a great experience.

It was also a really hot day outside, and even though we had already ordered drinks, he thoughtfully offered us complimentary cups of water as well. It’s a small gesture, but it showed that he genuinely cared about his customers’ comfort rather than just doing the bare minimum. That level of hospitality is rare these days.

What impressed me even more was seeing him cleaning underneath the garbage bins. Most people clean around them, but he was making sure every corner was spotless. This is, without a doubt, the cleanest fast food restaurant I’ve ever been to. It honestly felt as clean as a hospital. Seeing someone take so much pride in their work brings me genuine joy because I try to approach my own work the same way.

Aidan’s customer service wasn’t scripted or robotic. He was friendly, attentive, professional, and authentic. Employees like him are the reason customers come back.

During my visit there was a Huge Line for that Free Chicken and I ordered the Reaper Sandwich which is made with Carolina Reaper Pepper and yes it sure is Spicy! Believe it or Not I ate the sandwich without having anything to drink and I sure felt like a Dragon On Fire Afterwards! Lol. “May 2026 update: overall atmosphere and service is the same. However I've had to reduce my rating of the food to 3 stars. I'm not sure if the oil used now to fry the chicken and fries is old or a bit stale but my throat is not happy after eating our meal. Ive been to other places that used old oil and the same thing happened as well. The chicken overall also felt drier, not the same quality experience I had when I first went there.

Original review: I can't believe I've waited this long to do a review on this Mary Brown's location. Of course, Mary Brown's makes fried chicken. We know that. However, one thing I've come to realize is that not all franchises are created equally. I've been to other locations where the chicken feels greasy or ones where I'm convinced the oil is old and the chicken tastes subpar. That is not the case with this Mary Brown's location. I've been quite a few times now and each time, I'm completely satisfied with the quality of the fried chicken. The chicken is made well, it's crispy, flavourful (and not too salty) and moist without being oily or greasy. Dare I say, this chicken makes me happy!

On top of it all, you have to try their taters. Coated and seasoned, the family likes to dip them in gravy and ketchup but I personally love their poutine drenched in gravy and cheese turds. The gravy is rich, savory, and a perfect complement for these taters.

Located close to Chester subway station, this Mary Brown's Chicken on the Danforth also has a patio that can be enjoyed in the warmer months. Staff at this location are pleasant, professional, and friendly. This is one Mary Brown's location is one I plan to continue to visit!“
