“Very nice little cafe with Ethiopian coffee. They roast their own coffee bean here. The barista let you choose different kind of Ethiopian beans, since I am not an expert, I just let her pick the one that is milder/balance.
Cafe is right on Danforth. Therefore you can sit by the front windows and people watch while enjoying some Ethiopian coffee“
“If you’re looking for an incredible place to order your freshly roasted coffee beans, look no further! Java roasters offer an incredible selection. Their beans are roasted to perfection. The flavour profiles, do not disappoint. If you’re looking to make an amazing cup of coffee at home, look no further. Java roasters know how to satisfy your palate. This is one of my favourite Canadian roasters. Their service is also top-notch. Don’t hesitate- give them a try!“

“good coffee. cozy place. good location.“
“Top notch coffee! Seems to be a couple of Aussies involved and the standard is as expected. Up there with the excellent coffees I’ve had in London, Sydney etc.
Pastry selection is small but good quality. I had a savoury Danish one day and a croissant another day. Staff are friendly!“

“This little spot makes some of the best Vietnamese coffee I’ve had. The salted coffee is my go-to. It’s bold, smooth, and just the right mix of sweet and salty.
Their chè ba màu is the best. Packed with chewy beans, creamy coconut, and a heap of sweet toppings, it’s rich, refreshing, and full of texture. Every spoonful is layered and satisfying.
Whether you’re cooling off in the summer or need a strong caffeine fix, this is the place to be.“
“Best coffee in Toronto, amazing and friendly staff.“
“I’ve been working in the financial district for over 15 years, and have never written a review for a coffee spot here. My go to used to be Formo Cultura, cause I hated Mos Mos, and Dineen, and maman was just okay, but my God I’ve never had a latte like the one here. Which scares me cause I don’t think I can go back and this coffee spot is not path accessible but I might risk it all in Canadian winters for coffee from here.“

“Love their coffee selection. The staff was super friendly. I would go here again as it was located close to where were staying.“
“Been to pilot a few times because it is in the path. I always used to come for the pear cider and I am really sad that that is gone, I wish some of their staples stayed on the menu. This summer I’ve been really into matcha and tried their mango sticky rice matcha which was creative and the strawberry matcha. I quite liked the mango sticky rice one although I couldn’t quite taste the sticky rice (coconut / condense milk flavouring) but the mango comes out quite nicely. I thought the strawberry one was fairly tasty too. My only small issue is there is way too much ice in the drink.“

“Smashing IT! 😁☕😁
Nestled in the heart of the historical St. Lawrence Market, Balzac's Coffee is serving up more than just coffee.
They're serving it up style.
From coffees, to teas to specialty drinks you can guarantee what ever your taste buds are craving in a cup they have it.
They also serve up some very delightful and nice desserts to accompany the beverage of your choice.
I was completely over the moon when I saw that they had Mince Pies and Toffee Pudding on menu.
The Cafe in itself has a lot of charm to it as well. So you're going to want to stay awhile.
So bring that laptop or favorite book.
Also, the customer service is definitely outstanding!“

“Great coffee shop. It's actually a bit of a hidden gem location. Can get quite busy during the school year and when all the students are in the area. But on weekends (especially in the summer) it's a great spot to get some work done or meet up for a coffee and a chat with a friend. Nice tables and chairs outside where you can enjoy the outdoors. It's also kind of quiet, which is surprising for the middle of downtown.
Good variety of drinks and cookies/bakery products.“

“Ordered their Hainan Chicken Rice combo. The rice was flavourful, aromatic, gingery, firm and slightly chewy. Sauces that accompanied the rice was strange. The creamy one was more like mayo mustard mix for hotdog/fries. The clear sour tangy sauce was just not good. They were not the right pair for chicken rice. The chicken itself was tasty but nothing special. The cuts were too small and portion was a bit stingy. However the meal combo came with a small cup of HK style milk tea. The cafe was cozy and smelled good from the coffee roaster. Overall it was a good value and taste for a quick meal in a comfy cafe.“

“Should we continue to support a worldwide, multi-billion dollar company that stretches across 4 continents or should we support a small local Canadian company brewing great coffee? Sure $30 a month for coffee may seem to be a lot to spend, however when you factor in what you spend at big chain coffee shops Go Cup Yourself equals to 64 cents a cup of coffee. I think someone should go cup themselves. Both blends I tried were fantastic by the way!“
