“I recently came in for a weekday lunch with a friend and tried their set lunch for 2 (ssam-bap jungsik). The servers were very friendly and helpful with ordering and they made sure that banchan refill (limited to 2 times) was done promptly. The banchans were all were prepared; my friend who tried Korean food for the first time loved the eggplant side dish. I loved that they offered the soybean stews in individual earthen bowls. Their spicy and non-spicy pork bulgogi were also very well done with just the perfect amount of marinade. Accompanying veggies for wraps were also plentiful so we didn't have to ask for a refill. We also ordered steamed Korean dumplings which were packed with meat, tofu and veggies. This was so delicious! I don't normally order dumplings when I go out because it's usually the store bought ones that are steamed or friend but here, it was made in house and the quality was definitely there. I am looking forward to returning to try out more of their new menu items soon.“

“I went to Daldongnae (Empress) for my birthday with 13 friends, and it was great! I called them to reserve the tables 3 days in advance. I even arrived a little earlier than the reservation, and they seated us no problem. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive. I'd definitely recommend this location! “My first time at Daldongae, a Korean BBQ spot, was surprisingly enjoyable. Although there were language barriers with the staff, they made commendable efforts to accommodate us. The BBQ experience was fantastic, offering flavorful meats in a welcoming atmosphere. However, the chairs weren’t comfortable for extended periods, and the hot kimchi wasn’t to my taste. The food was prepared and served quickly because it was not busy.All the meals of my party of five were good but lacked the punch to get them up to five stars. Given the plethora of Korean restaurants in this area I would probably recommend others before this. Also keep in mind that none of us ordered the BBQ that you cook at the table, which this restaurant specializes in.“
