My wife is addicted to their tea, it smells exactly like brown sugar boba. If you're in Thornhill, we can't recommend this place enough.“

“The Tom Yum was wayyyy too sour, like vinegar sour. I had been to so many Thai restaurants, and tom yum is a must order for me. I don’t understand why the soup was that sour. Kinda disappointed.

But other food I ordered were very good especially the curry.

“Great food & service however the meal was ruined as bugs were running around our table which we noticed once we were done eating, we flagged it to the waiter but he did not seem to care and said he would tell the owner.

Edit: The manager, Luke reached out with a solution that worked for both of us. Really appreciate the work-around as a-lot of restaurants would usually just ignore this type of review. They also let me know this is a one off occurrence and practices are in place to avoid this situation again.“

“On September 21, 2025 my husband and i hosted a party for our 85-year-old friend. We were greeted with Happy Birthday Greetings. Our waters were never empty. Our food came on time, was delicious and hot. and all 8 of us enjoyed every chopstick full of such tasty food. Thank you to the staff that took care of every want, even a dish of ice cream dolled up for the birthday girl. Very nice treat. Thank you. Every time the service has been exceptional and caring a bit more today made it memorable for everyone Thank you.“

“One of the cleanest washrooms I’ve ever seen in a restaurant, which immediately stood out. The milky broths are rich, fragrant, and very comforting. I especially loved the coconut milk broth. The desserts were also great, and it was a nice surprise to see matcha ice cream on tap. They’ve now switched to an all-you-can-eat format instead of ordering items separately like before, which makes the experience even better. Overall, great food, great value, and a very enjoyable meal with lots of options“

“I'm so glad we have Thai Basil in the neighbourhood. The food is always consistent and full of flavour. I'm obsessed with their Green Curry/Pad See Ewi it’s perfectly creamy and has just the right amount of spice ask for their chilli flakes if you want extra heat. The staff is always welcoming and the service is quick, whether I'm dining in or getting takeout. If you haven't tried their Thai Iced Tea/Mango Sticky Rice, you're missing out Highly recommend.“

“Very nice restaurant that serves great food. Fish cake was freshly made with very clean oil, no bad oil odor. The fried chicken might taste a bit light and the eggplant was nicely cook, soft and well balanced. The best part was the sour and sweet soup. Loads of ingredients and the soup had a deep flavor of spice and sweetness.“

All items were on point and serving size was for one person. However, we had to pay for the rice because the beef broccoli did not come with rice.

Also you need to walk upstairs to use the washroom.

These are minor things and I still recommend this especially with the massage combo deal with Lamai.“

“Happened to drop by Thai Express. Purchased something unique. Ordered a spicy chicken lemongrass stir fry with extra basil and egg on top. The food was perfectly cooked and the chef was super friendly. We had a nice chat. Store was very clean. Overall experience was superb.“

When I got my order I was confused so called and the lady that answered offer to get them to me next, which is very kind. Then she phoned back and explained what I actually did when ordering and that the mango was definitely in my rolls not its own roll. So gald it was cleared up. “Finally a very good vegetarian Chinese food restaurant in Markham. Unlike most Chinese restaurants which offer a couple of vegetarian options , this restaurant only offers vegetarian food. We ordered 7 different dishes and they were all delicious and beautifully presented. A must visit for vegetarians. We will definitely be going again.“

I had a sunny side up burger and a beef sandwitch and I have been craving the beef sandwich ever since! “Fabulous, the vegetables cooked just right and fresh. This is not your regular food court fare. Even if you get there near end of day, the food is as fresh as at lunchtime. Highly recommend! Oh and the staff is great.“
