“I've lived in Canada for over 30 years, resigned to the fact that baked sweets and desserts are cloyingly sweet, barely edible (sorry, patriots). I lived politely refusing cakes at parties, not because I would not enjoy coffee and a dessert, but , you know... Then new hope arrived in JC Patisserie and voila! I am willing to drive to Thorold to enjoy desserts that actually taste as mango, chocolate, strawberry, etc., without the domination of sugar! Hats down to the crew at JC Patissier!“

“My husband and I visited Niagara on the Lake for the first time yesterday. We stopped into Fritters on the Lake and were absolutely so impressed. Not only was the lunch recommendation on point; the fritters were absolutely amazing. However, the best thing ever was the service! Zoran was the kindest person ever and when I spoke to my family by phone later in the day-he was the first one I told them about. I’m not sure when I’ll make it back but Fritters on the Lake will be my first stop and everyone that is headed that way will have my highest recommendation. “My first visit was great. The person at the register recommended the sweet potato sandwich and it was sooooo good. My Americano was delicious. I’ll definitely try more items in the future. My friend and I got there around 9am. It got busy after 10am and a quarter of the bakery items were already gone. I’m looking forward to trying the bagels and cinnamon buns.“

For those on a high protein diet, the Low FODMAP loaf is 20g of protein in two slices!!! But order ahead as they only bake six per day.“

“Came here today after seeing so many beautiful & delicious posts on Facebook; made it with like 10 minutes left before closing (we felt really bad to arrive so late; we drove half an hour from Welland to check them out) and the lady running the store that day was so welcoming and we didn't feel rushed at all! She was so kind and gave us a bunch of complimentary desserts🥹 we got 6 cheesecakes/mousses and a box of the macarons and it was just such a great experience! we tried a bite of everything before we even got home and every single bite we were like 🤯 Desserts are beautiful and hand made! You can tell a lot of love was put into them💓 We'll be back for sure! I didn't get a picture of the desserts before we dug into them but if they aren't destroyed I'll add a picture of what they look like since being home she also mentioned they stay good in the fridge for 5 days and that they freeze nicely which is a plus! I don't like wasting desserts but sometimes don't finish them fast enough😭“

“Awesome bakery with lots of home made goodies and coffee and tea. We stopped while we were strolling the area for a cup of hot coffee on a cold day. The ladies working here were kind and patient and made sure that I could safely consume their alternative milk products. The coffee came out hot and fresh. We didn’t fret baked goods this time but we will make sure to get some next time we visit.“

The staff are always very kind and patient, and it always smells amazing inside. Everything is freshly baked and is not out more than a day. I visit often.“

“We ordered 100 tarts from Scott for daughters wedding. Scott individually wrapped an assortment of tarts including Skor, Turtles, Raisonette, etc. We used them as favours at each table setting and the rest were left on a tray by the door. There were none left! Guests are still raving about the most delicious butter tarts they ever had!! A big hit at the wedding! Thanks so much Scott! Will definitely be ordering from you again!“

“Went above and beyond! I live in Ottawa and my daughter is studying at Brock. I called around a few days ago looking for a way to get her a birthday cake. One of the staff at Caffe Gatti said she would deliver it personally as I was worried about the condition if it went through a delivery service. “ABSOLUTE ROCK STARS! Recently purchased some meat to make my first batch of sausage with. Nick went above and beyond and educated me on the different cuts of meats, what percentages to use and tips and tricks and made sure I got the best of the best. When I picked up everything Joe treated me like family and was very helpful and friendly and also gave me some more education. It's awesome to see two people take so much pride and passion in what they do and treating customers like family. Also, on my way into the store I stopped by the bakery department (like the elf I am LOL) and spoke with the bakery person who was amazing (sorry, didnt get her name, older lady with glasses-very friendly). She educated me on ALL of the sweets and baked goods, how much pride/passion they take in their in house baking goods and also the specialty items from Germany and Italy etc. WOW! Thanks to these three ROCKSTARS you have gained a customer for life (I live in Wainfleet but WORTH the drive!!) Thank you Commisso's for having amazing passionate staff!“

“I have gone into this location 3 times in the last 7 days and had to request they stir our coffee as the sugar in her triple triple is constantly at the bottom.
I was even extremely polite and friendly on the request but the lady on the mic and the lady at the window were extremely rude and unfriendly. I think I’ll go to the next one from now on“

She is always such a ray of sunshine considering the sun itself is not even out yet! I have never received such good service from this new generation like I have with her, it is so hard to come by!
