“We live in New Jersey but we have been to Jamaica 30 times or more. I love Jamaican food. This food was as good or better than any food I’ve eaten in Jamaica. There were 8 of us. Between us we had oxtail red bean soup, curry goat, jerk chicken, fried okra, fried plantains, jerk fries with aioli sauce, chicken curry, slow baked jerk wings and 4 of the deserts. Everything was seasoned well. The spice levels were perfect. Savory and delicious. The reception and service were welcoming and enthusiastic. The ambiance felt truly Jamaican. Every aspect of our dining experience was wonderful. Go, you won’t be disappointed.“

“Absolutely so grateful to God I found this place! Best curry chicken I have ever had, so tender and not spicy, but flavorful. Annet the owner even went out of her way to prepare a makeshift salad because I couldn't have rice — just outstanding service with a smile. Highly recommend their chicken patties as well!“

“The only thing that prevents a 5th star is the decor and styrofoam containers. Really good ( with a bit of a burn!) jerk chicken and pork, oxtail , and if you are lucky, stew pork. This is a family business started by Gerry Wong who is now retired. His son Donavan runs the show now and does so with love.“

“Small restaurant with a super hospitable, approachable and friendly staff. While dining, there was nice reggae music playing in the background. Typical Jamaican restaurant menu with a few unique items and custom drinks. The food was average tasting and well presented. I was educated about the history and how the restaurant was established which was enjoyable. “Great spot for a quick and tasty meal. If you’re looking for an alternative to boring but healthy salads, I recommend the Yard Salad with boneless jerk chicken breast, mango dressing and scotch bonnet mayo. I would give it 5 stars if it was a bit cheaper but not taking that away from the place as everything has skyrocketed in price these days.“

“Disclaimer off the bat- I have not tried the old Fahmee bakery foods so I cannot compare to what it used to be.

I picked up a large beef and rice combo along with two mild beef patties as part of a too good to go package. The staff is friendly and welcoming which is always nice.

The beef was a little bit on the dry side but the flavour is excellent! There's some good heat here from the peppers but it was the right amount. I'm saying this as someone who isn't a big fan of too much spice. The beef stew is a bit on the drier side but that's not a complaint - it works well with the rice and beans here.

I would love the beef in a roti version.

The patties were delicious. I'm not going to claim to be a patty pro but I enjoyed the filling here. The crust is not too flakey but I didn't mind it. This worked well as a patty and I would definitely go pick some up if I was in the area.

Overall a good spot for a patty in the area. Is it the best? Doesn't matter - patties are soul food and enjoyable when you're craving them.
