I visited Maxime’s in Toronto with a group of girlfriends for a 7:30 PM reservation. We arrived about 10 to 12 minutes late and were initially seated toward the back of the restaurant near an open door that led to the patio, where servers were walking in and out. The restaurant itself has a beautiful ambience, although I was surprised by how much smaller it felt in person compared to the photos online.

The steak was one of the best we had in Toronto. The rest of the food & drinks we had was delicious as well. Francesca was great, personable and treated us well. Good vIbes overall.
Food was good but service was bad and slow, the waiter brought out a side order way after everyone finished their meals I don’t recommend if you looking for good service.

Based on the reviews, Maxime's Steakhouse Toronto has a beautiful ambience and a nice vibe, often featuring a live DJ. The restaurant interior is nice, with an open kitchen, but it feels smaller in person than in photos. The food is generally great. Highlights include the sea bass, which was phenomenal and a 10 out of 10, the broccolini, the crispy rock shrimp, fresh oysters, and the spicy vodka pasta, which is worth the hype. The steak is one of the best in Toronto. However, the spicy rigatoni had a very small portion as a shareable, and the tiramisu was not worth the hype. Service is mixed; some reviewers had excellent and attentive service, while others found it bad and slow, with sides arriving late. The lychee martini was barely filled. The parking situation feels a little sketchy. For those with gluten-free or allergies, there are not a ton of options. Despite some hiccups, the food and service are highlights, and many would return for the food and ambience.
