Opus Restaurant, a long-standing favorite, offers an elegant dining experience in Yorkville. The staff provides attentive service without any pretentiousness, allowing guests to enjoy the scrumptious food and extensive wine collection at their own pace. The atmosphere is beautiful and perfect for conversations, with luxurious surroundings and no loud music. Highly recommended dishes include the oysters, lamb chops, and the assortment of bread that is buttery and tasty. Guests have praised the crispy brussel sprouts and the flavorful sauces and purees. The wine list is very impressive, with a focus on old world wines, and prices are very reasonable. The restaurant features a range of environments, including a private dining room that is beautiful and can accommodate up to 22 people, making it suitable for both romantic dinners and group gatherings. The service is often described as warm and superlative, with staff like Bob receiving special mention for their excellent service. Many guests feel Opus feels like a home away from home and consider it the most beautiful restaurant in Toronto. A must-visit for those looking to savor the art of food and wine, with a delightful dessert like profiteroles to complete the experience. Some dishes, such as the cod and john dory, received mixed reviews, but overall, the restaurant maintains a reputation for excellent food and atmosphere.
