“Went to the Blue Star again tonight! I had the broasted white chicken w/broasted potatoes and coleslaw. The chicken is always so moist with a nice crispy outside. My husband had the closed roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes. Beef was plentiful and very tender. Meal was nice and hot, quick and service was awesome as usual. The owner came to our table to check on our meal and service. The bill very reasonable and I even had half my dinner left for lunch tomm. The most awesome thing is that the Blue Star is always consistent with food and service. Way to go!! We'll be back soon!!“

“My hubby and I frequently visit Swiss Chalet on Niagara Street and we both find wonderful wait staff there. I have already written about Stephanie but today I want to say a big thank you to both Emily and Evann. They are both perfect in executing their jobs but they are also just fun to interact with and be with. Our last visit I was teasing that I forgot to write my review for Emily only to forget to write one for Evann. Thus gals I am writing how wonderful you both are and how you both put a smile on our faces. We will be back of course. You both also never forget to tell us about the specials and save us money. This is important to retirees. Thank you for making an every day experience a more special one.“

“Well, we drove from N Falls to Welland to try this outstanding pizza and wings. It was outstanding ! Pizza used cup & char pepperoni done to perfection and dough was fabulous. Chicken wings were huge and reminded us of Buffalo wings 20 years ago in Buffalo. No bruises on these wings A1 quality . They actual use butter and hot sauce for the type of wings we chose. Worth the drive and excellent price , staff was amazing .Ryan & Tracey got his down to a science . We'll be back“

While I understand things can be busy, a hospitality based business should have staff that can manage and politely communicate to customers what delays they are facing, projected wait times, and give basic customer service.“

“I called the week before arriving to inquire about a large group seating, the hostess took my name, number and size of party. She asked me to call the day before to confirm, which I did. We arrived earlier than expected and had to wait a little bit so current diners could finish up and give the staff time to setup for the 38 of us. I was very pleased with how friendly and accommodating the staff was for the size of our group. A group of 38 adults and youth hockey players from is a lot to handle. Not one complaint from our large group. I would definitely recommend and will, happily, return when in the area again.“

“We had a wonderful time at the Swiss Chalet , the food was fantastic and the server ( Laura) was a pleasure. She made our time there so fun . At the end of our meal our server brought out finger bowls. They are bowls for you to clean your hands in water with lemon. It was a fun experience and Laura was very fun and helpful with everything we ask her. Definitely recommend and we would definitely come again.!!!“

“This is by far the best Swiss Chalet I’ve been to. Our server, Kate, was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food was very good. My only negative is that there was too much grenadine in the Shirley Temple and I don’t recommend getting it.

Some in my party noted that the portion sizes seem smaller than in the past, but sadly shrinkflation seems to be everywhere these days. The portions were still enough for a very full lunch meal.“

“We went for a late lunch yesterday. Everything was amazing. Our server JoAnn went above and beyond to make our meal and experience perfect. We have been there many times but I would say yesterday was our best meal and service. Hope we get to sit in JoAnn's section when we return again next month.“

“I grew up in Niagara Falls, but for the last 30 years have lived in Cincinnati Ohio ( US) . I fly home four or five times a year and EVERY TIME, I must stop at a Harvey's for an 1/4 Angus with bacon & Cheese or my home coming isn't complete . They still make em just ss i ask them to ; loaded with tomato and extra extra dill pickles. Still perfect, just like when I was a kid. I love you Harvey's.“

“My partner and I have been coming to this IHOP every weekend for about a month now, and we always have a great experience! This weekend our server, Brittney, was especially wonderful — super friendly, took the time to chat with us, and even gave us a nice local discount when she found out we’re from the area. The food is always great, and I can’t get enough of the tres leches pancakes.“

“Food was good. I normally go through the drive thru and have typically experienced the most friendly staff. Today I went to dine in and I got a weird vibe from the man at the cash but still thought nothing of it…However, while waiting for the burgers, I noticed none of the staff were talking. It was uncomfortably silent. And then as we were eating, I was looking at the behaviour of the guy from the cash and it was odd to say the least. I’m not making assumptions but it did seem like he was on drugs. Weird experience, hope the other staff is okay.“

A little expensive but our hotel had a $15 dollar off coupon (in Canadian currency) that being said, it was an easy place to get breakfast across from our hotel“
