“The Zen Hakka Chinese & Thai in Stouffville is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious and satisfying Asian cuisine. The food was exceptional, with large portions and wonderfully flavorful dishes that left me completely satisfied. The drinks were also fantastic, complementing the meal perfectly. The atmosphere added to the overall experience, creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment. If you appreciate top-notch Asian cuisine, this restaurant is a definite go-to spot.“
“What a wonderful experience. From the care the staff took to seat our party of 8, including 2 kids, to the order taking, where the hostess remembered each of our orders perfectly, to the quick delivery, to the out of this world delicious food. Added 5 stars to our trip to Toronto“
“We chose from a menu that offered a WIDE choice. Lemongrass coconut chicken soup for me - absolutely delicious! - and 3 eggs with bacon, fries and toast - a hubby pleaser! - made us agree that our first visit to the Claremont Country Restaurant would definitely not be our last ! Owner Bala Nedumaran brought our lunch out and served it with a side order of the most genial conversation you could wish for! If you're out Claremont way, you owe it to yourself to stop by here!“
“The food here is great - flavourful and spicy (if you want). Mabel was extremely attentive and accommodating, we received outstanding service. She made the experience of dining here very special. The restaurant is lively and the staff are friendly.Ordered a bunch of dishes and each one was delicious. Highly recommend this place for a fun dinner with friends and family.“
“Amazing service. Ordered on line and when I arrived they greeted me with a smile , double checked the order was right and off I went. Fast and friendly. So rare these days! Ordered the pad Thai and loved love loved it! Will definitely eat here “
“Located inside King Square shopping center, north of woodbine and 16th ave. This is by far the best food shop inside King Square. I was kinda blown away tbh. The food is very authentic. My friends and I ordered up PB1C (the party picnic box combo) to share. The box included sauteed shrimps, calamari, fishballs, fried chicken cartilage, grilled chicken, shrimp chips, mango salad and 3 sauces. On the side it came with mango sticky rice and 2 drinks. We chose thai milk tea (less sweet) and thai lime tea (less sweet as well). The food was SO TASTY. Seasoning was on point and the homemade sauces were FIRE. My fave was the peanut sauce. The thai lime tea was super unique imo. You don't really find that at many thai restos even the authentic ones downtown. I also loved the fact that you can adjust the sweetness level on the tea as well which is a welcome surprise. Normally, restos just give you a default level of sweetness.“
“Cozy , clean and warm environment, friendly staff with an amazing taste of food! Bala helped me for choosing my favourite food. Thank you Bala and thank you country restaurant for your excellent services❤️ don’t forget drinking a cup of Masala tea after finish your meal?Highly recommend!“
“This place is like a 3.5/5 stars.Located in the plaza where Day & Night Angus Steakhouse used to be, the resto is moderately sized. The plaza it sits in has quite a lot of parking so that shouldn't be an issue. My gf and I arrived on a thurs night w/ no reservation at around 7:10pm and were seated within 10 min on the patio (which is massive btw).We ordered only 2 items as we expected huge portions (having eaten at BKK Thai a month ago).Beef pad thai: Good flavour, nice tang. Not in the same league as the pad thai at Chiang Rai. Some of the noodles were slightly overcooked imo. But the authenticity was there.Chicken khao soi: The 'mild' spice lvl was actually tolerable for my gf for once LOL. The chicken was moist and cooked so well. The broth was layered out the wazoo.I was expecting quality commensurate w/ Pai downtown. After all, the owners of Pai were the ones who opened this place! I've gotta say, it doesn't quite meet the same bar that Pai has set.Maybe it's the inflated pricing and the smaller than normal portions? This place is good in terms of authenticity but quite honestly, it doesn't stack up to BKK Thai, Isaan Der, Chiang Rai or dare I say, even JATUJAK in terms of value. I will say the khao soi broth did have the same flavour as the one at Pai though, so that's a huge plus. And they also had some really interesting cocktails that looked tempting.“
“We had a group of 15 people for afternoon tea and snacks. The cook/ owner planned an individual sized menus for us with spring rolls, Indonesian fried chicken, grilled pork, meatballs and rice noodles in soup, curry beef and tendon, stir fried noodles with fresh vegetables ........with specialty tea/hot water. The bill was only $16/person all included. The service good and atmosphere cozy. We would come back again for sure!!“
“I’ve been coming here for forever. The food here is so good and everyone is always so nice. They always accommodate to any changes I need made to the dish. My favourites are the chow mein, chicken wings, Shanghai fried noodles and Szechuan beef. These are always my go to.“
“Best Spring Rolls in MarkhamFood:Have tried various things here - green curry, pad Thai, spring rolls and chicken satay (RIP)I keep coming back for the spring rolls - they're a generous size, packed with filling and always freshThe pad Thai is as you'd expect from a food stall - eatable and go enough to have againThe green curry was a pass for me, it doesn't come close to my favourite at another local Thai chiliThe chicken satays were great but they discontinued themFood quality - flavour, freshness and temperature always consistentService:Consistent - fast, orders always accurateParking: I can be nearly impossible to get a spot on weekends.“
“Actually quite good. Gone here a few times and is decent for the price. Ordered the extra large rare Pho and arrived within 10 minutes. The Pho was very hot, strong flavours and good quality beef and tendons. The broth wasn't too oily either. Would come here for a quick meal.Spacious inside, clean menus and vigilant workers.“
“Six stars if possible! This unassuming little shop off Hwy 7 only serves take out now but makes banger Chinese-Canto-HK food! They have the classic Hong Kong cafe dishes but also the classic Chinese dishes too. When we went, there were tons of orders lined up. One of the best kept secrets in Markham, hands down. Quick, affordable and delicious Chinese food on the East end of Markham!Highly recommend!“
“We were recommended this place by my brother and were so glad we tried them out. I had the Malay Curry with mixed veg and it was delicious (and not spicy which is good cause I'm a whimp). My husband had the Red Thai Curry and he was happy to find it genuinely spicy. We will definitely be going back againVegetarian options: Option for mixed veg in several dishes instead of meat“
“Outstanding service from this restaurant. From the moment I walked in I was treated with respect as a customer should be treated. Throughout my meal I got constant, water refills and didn’t have to face any altercations with workers while eating. A huge appreciation to a specific worker there named Neelam, who consistently made sure that I was satisfied with my visit, and overall treated me with the most respect I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant in Markham. Food was great, dynamics were great, and would 100 % recommend this restaurant to family and friends. Again, thank you Neelam for motivating me to write this.“
“Must visit this place! This is small, comfy place to enjoy lunch or dinner. I visited this place last weekend with my family friends and I tried basil fried rice shrimp and chicken, Thai ice tea. One more thing the staff here is really really good my server was Ayushi, she is really adorable and always wear big smile while serving us food. Yesterday I again visit this place but unfortunately our friends cancel the dinner plan so we just go back home. Staff like her encourage us to visit this place again and again as well as amazing and delicious food ???.“

“Food was delicious. Got the Larb chicken wings and the inside and outside was very flavourful. Love the mango sticky rice! I’d come again for the food and to support an 18 year family run business.Parking: Plaza parking lot fits around 35-40 cars.“
